Eclypse de Mar Restaurant

The restaurant is lovely, the staff are incredibly attentive and personal, however the food is only ok and it is quite pricey compared to the rest of the island. Mains are around 20 USD, deserts around 10 USD. The menu is somewhat limited.

However, Eclypse de Mar also has lodging, which is totally fabulous! The bungalows are spacious, neatly decorated, you have your own docs. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast in the bungalow is a fantastic way to start the day. The hotel runs on solar energy, so there is no electricity in the bungalows during the day, and unfortunately our WiFi wasn't working. However, none of this matters considering the gorgeous views, the transparent water, the lovely little jungle just behind the lodgings, and the wonderful staff. Overall, we loved it!

Although our weather was not good, we still had a great time here. The bungalows are picture perfect and the attention to detail in the hotel is great. The bay is a little noise with the boats, but it does quiet down at night. You are close enough to Bocas to easily participate in that debauchery, but far enough away to be in peace.
Although there is a reef in front of the hotel, I highly commend taking the kayaks out further past the reef to the left. The snorkelling down the bay was amazing.

The restaurant food is OK... not great. Although, I haven't had great food anywhere on this island.

Very nice place to stay. Quite unique. The only problem was the club in nearby downtown. Very loud music kept playing till 3:30 am ruining the sound of the ocean and the sleep. You need to use earplugs! The trail is muddy in rain season. Be prepared.

Amazing, beautiful, peaceful, gorgeous. Definitely highly recommend. Great food, location and friendly service. We will stay here again. Problem is, it's so hard to leave the beauty and tranquility.

Fantastic atmosphere! Every meal was delicious! The bartender and waitress were so very nice and treated us like family. It is the best in Bocas!

Visited the restaurant at this small boutique cottage resort twice. Excellent both times. If you are in Bocas town looking for better food than what most of the places there offer jump a water taxi over to Eclypse. Without wanting to start local grievences, we ate at the firefly on basti and could barely give it it 3 rating. The Eclypse had a great view across the water, it is actually on stilts in water. The service was easy, friendly yet totally professional and right on. My first dinner was fish in creole sauce. Perfect and not over sauced. The only downside is that I had this my first night. In over week of eating sefood in and around Bocas nothing came close. Some good yes but nothing on par. A brief rain redirected us there for lunch. Good fortune. A simpler menu, I had what amounted to a vegi burger. Again they nailed it. Excellent bun, unique burger (lunch orders include beer or wine in price under $10) in addition I had a house made fruit juice. Clean not watered down just the thing. Enjoy.

ECLYPSE RESTAURANTE Eclypse de Mar has a Restaurant located on a terrace over the water where you could try different options made with fresh product from the area. Sea food, Pasta, home made desserts, drinks and wine. (It is closed once a week.)

Very friendly people and the food is delicious! Small and quiet. Perfect for a lovely evening
