This was a beautiful place to chill and hang out on the days that we were recovering from excursions. Additionally the staff told us that we could also hang out at the sister locations on Isla Colon and Isla Bastimento which was great when visiting those islands. The staff was spot on with professionalism and service. Room for improvement: 1. The smoking area needs to be moved away from the bar and the pool. If it's further away people won't smoke as much which is good for them and the rest of us. Cigarette Smoke in the pool area is disgusting and it goes right up into the food area. 2. Ceiling fans in the dorm rooms please. Indoor humidity was listed as dangerous during our stay. People could heatstroke in their rooms. The climate has changed and the heat is oppressive. The only way to get the room cooler is to leave the door wide open which is uncomfortable. We will absolutely return for another stay at this charming Hostel.

We had a very good time on our stay in Bambuda Lodge. The place is beautiful and it was amazing to sleep hearing the sound of the nature. The staff was very friendly and helpful, Silvia was very sweet and nice every day serving us at the restaurant.

We had the most amazing time in Bocas Del Toro thanks to Bambuda Lodge.

First, their staff is some of the best people I have come across. They are all so friendly and welcoming. They remember your names and what you like to drink. They are always willing to help answer questions or have a conversation with you.

We booked a Jungle Cabin, so had our own space and bathroom which we really enjoyed. All of their rooms looked really nice and we heard the dorms were great. Everything was super clean.

The food was AMAZING. Who knew you could get such amazing meals in the middle of the Panama Jungle. We ate a breakfast, lunch and a dinner there and really enjoyed everything we ate. I highly recommend family dinners.

The atmosphere was great. Everyone was super friendly, social, and fun to talk to. You will meet people from all over the world.

They offer free hiking every day and snorkling, which I would not say is for beginners, but had a great time hiking with them. They also have Yoga 3 days a week for $6.

I recommend you book all your tours through them, we loved the Cayo Zapatilla tour. Skip the bioluminescence tour.

Boat rides are $5 each from town to the lodge or the other way around.

Make sure you pack lots of sunscreen and bug spray, and are prepared for the intense humidity.

I cannot recommend Bambuda enough!!!!

Location of the hotel is unreal, the pool deck is so beautiful with the jungle to the left and right from you while drinking the best cocktails or smoothies. Family dinner is a highly recommended dinner to do as all of the dishes we tasted where out of this world. I can’t think of a thing that was not good about this place. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms which where very clean and spacious.

This place is a little slice of heaven. Tucked away from main Bocas town gives you some peace but close enough to take a water taxi to any excursions you might want. The local staff were amazing and very accommodating. Special shout out to the volunteers as well (max, Julie, Marie, Hannah, and Mae) for being super helpful and setting a vibe. Food is also delicious and reasonably priced. They also have free kayak and paddle boards to use. Dorm beds were comfy and clean. Only area where they lose points is the temp of dorms and some small cockroaches were seen scurrying around

Cant wait for my visit back !!

What a lovely place! Ideal for a short break or longer stays. I have not seen the dormitory, but the double rooms are cosy and quiet and the bathrooms and showers are great. The lodge has a beautiful terrace with an ocean view where you can chill on comfy sofas or work from tables set up as work stations. The food and drinks selection is good and the vibe in general is very friendly and welcoming. Love that it's an eco lodge and you really feel immersed in nature without "invading" it!

An amazing and tranquil place where you can easily spend four weeks. The activities with volunteers were great, and the food prepared by Pedro and his team was exceptional. Overall, the staff was fantastic, professional, and friendly, especially with individuals like Danny Torres. However, I wouldn't recommend taking his beer recommendations, as he seems to have no clue what a good beer is. Thanks to the entire team for an experience I'll never forget.

Had an amazing stay at Bambuda Lodge over Christmas. The hostel is located on island Solarte, which is only reachable by water taxi. So there are not too many options for food other than the restaurant and bar. However the food there is fantastic and I really enjoyed the family Christmas dinner there.

It is one of the best hostels I’ve ever been to! The location is amazing and the Lodge provides everything you need! The staff is so sweet and they do make sure you’re having a good time! Especially our volunteers, Mario and Serena were great! The game nights they hosted were so much fun and also they did a pretty good job in making sure everyone was feeling at home, which was especially nice since I stayed over the holidays!

I had a great stay at Bambuda Lodge! Not only the remote location makes it really beautiful and unique but also the atmosphere and the people. On top of that, the staff as well as the volunteers are super nice and friendly. Mario, one of the volunteers, leads you through a fun jungle hike - especially good looking with his hat.
You should come and see for yourself!

Had a lovely stay here. Although it was rainy, the staff were amazing, the food was good and the accommodation was nice. We did the nature walk with Mario who was amazing and Eva was really fun at family dinners.

I had an amazing stay at Bambuda Lodge. It is one of the only hostels on a remote part of Bocas del Toro, and the proximity to nature is incredible! The rooms are clean and nice with blinds for the beds. There is no air conditioning which can be uncomfortable some nights but nothing too bad. The common space was so lovely - it feels like staying in a resort. There are many activities to do there (such as kayaking, paddle boarding, yoga, pool, etc) that I would spend entire days relaxing at the hostel and loved it. However, I think what makes this place such a great hostel is that the staff puts a lot of effort into crafting a community feel to the hostel. It is so easy to meet people with their family style dinners - I haven’t found something like this in other hostels. You can choose how much social time you’d like, but there will always be people there to hang out with. The service of the staff is also INCREDIBLE! They make an effort to learn everyone’s names and are so hospitable. I also went on a jungle hike with Serena the volunteer and loved it. They really make sure everyone has a great time. I will definitely stay here again next time!

Wow, such a cool place! Know beforehand, it’s remote and you are dependent on the (somewhat) higher food prices. Though, the food is super tasty. Everyday there is a hike through the jungle to hospital point and you can spot wildlife during this hike. Hospital point itself is a great snorkeling spot. Love this place, the staff and the atmosphere!

"My experience at Bambuda Lodge on Isla Solarte was extremely positive. Located in the beautiful Panamanian rainforest, the resort offers a unique atmosphere and scenery. The staff are incredibly welcoming, kind, and friendly. I particularly appreciated their commitment to environmental sustainability: the resort is eco-friendly and attentive to environmental respect. I had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia and Shari, two extraordinary girls who work at the restaurant. The manager, Marlen, proved to be extremely professional and helpful on every occasion. I particularly enjoyed the fruit smoothies and delicious cocktails prepared by bartender Nando, along with the variety and quality of the food offered. Overall, it was an exceptional experience, confirming once again that people make the difference.

For real the best place I have ever been at. Small hostel with a family vibe. Welcome drink at arrival to meet other travellers. Fun evening activities. Great place to relax and just enjoy life at its fullest. The waterslide is extra fun. Only con is that there is no AC here and the rooms are very hot. You have a fan but it can only do so much.

Awesome place to chill. We stayed only 2 nights but felt nice and relaxed straight away. The dorms are decent (each bed has a privacy curtain, plug socket and fan) and the bathrooms were big. The pool area is awesome and the vibe is really friendly.
We were concerned about the lack of kitchen but the food was good value and absolutely delicious! Vegan options too.
Also enjoyed the slide.
