Selina Red Frog

Amazing place ! A little paradise in the middle of the jungle and next to the beach. The teepee was great but what really stands out is the shared common lounge and all the activities, tours, people that work there which are really amazing and teach you so many things. Great place to chill out and to discover Red Frog and its surroundings. We obviously recommend this place. Would have loved to stay longer as everyday has a new activity.

The tipis are amazing - comfortable, with AC and very private. And if you want company, you can go to the common areas that are typically Selina style and very nice.
What we liked most was the Night Nature Tour! We learned so much about the animals ☺
The only thing that was not 5 stars is the food. It was a little disappointing, so we went down to a restaurant near the beach most of the time. Also the yoga schedule could be a little more diverse - it’s only Yin Yoga all day everyday. The teacher is very nice though, and if you want to take it slow, it’s great!

Absolutely stunning place with so much to do (or do nothing if you prefer as I felt a very relaxed environment) and a beautiful setting. The beach beach is about a 5-10min walk and gorgeous. I would highly recommend a gentleman called Renzo for a Thai massage that I definitely needed and considering I have a sciatic nerve issue he was very considerate and was a pleasant experience!

Amazing place to stay, you can experience three completely different ecosystems within 5 minutes from the accommodation, you stay in the middle of the jungle, the monkeys and sloths live around you. The Red Frog Beach is truly breathtaking and on the other side you have the mangroves which has its own amazing aspects. The staff of Salina is super friendly, knowledgeable about the nature and very hospitable. We stayed in a bungalow/tepee with jungle view which was a great option! The monkeys were literally walking on our terrace. Definitely a recommendation!

I highly recommend staying at Red Frog Selina! Our visit was our favourite part of Panama. Tomer and his staff we so incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. The hostel grounds are beautiful, surrounded by nature, and near the beach. The vibe was great and it’s easy to meet people. I cannot wait to come back to Red Frog in the future!

Great hostel, stayed in a Teepee in the jungle. The walk down through the jungle to the beach is incredible. Great location and staff. Would recommend for a more chill Bocas.

Just an incredibly lovely place to be. The vibe is so chill here. We loved so much about it, that we extended our stay twice. So many spots on the grounds were nice to sit and paint at, while drinking a beer delivered ice cold by Capi, or a cappuccino made perfectly by Jade. And in the evening there was always something going on. HUGE thanks to manager Tomar for being such an outstanding human being for so many reasons. And to staff volunteer Dai for sharing her creative talent and time with us as well. Not to mention Julio, Vic, Vera.. even the cleaning staff smiled and said hola every day. And of course the few travelers that left a positive impact on my partner and I helped make the whole thing special too. I miss you all already and truly can't wait to go back. This place will always be in my heart. 🏝💚

It was amazing! Most of the places don’t care about being integrated with the nature but the design of this hostel is incredible integrated on it, which is awesome! There’s also activities very interesting to do around the hostel and you can listen the waves while you are at the hostel in the jungle 😍😍

They have a good variety of tours and activities. I stayed for a long time. The scenery is very refreshing.

Our stay at Selina Red Frog was amazing! We stayed in a TeePee with a jungle view which was beautiful and had a great jungle vibe. Beds are comfy, decor is very fitting to the environment and bathrooms are quite spacious. TeePee offers enought privacy but is not too far away from the main area.
Food was quite good - we didn´t like all the options we tried, but pancakes, smootie bowl and chicken curry were great.
Staff is very friendly and you can tell they are trying to make your experience as great as possible, always asking if everything is ok and what are your plans - in order to give you some tips!
They organize a program every evening, so you won´t get bored. In the morning you can join a yoga session for 5 USD or sometimes free sessions of meditation or workouts.
The overall atmosphere is very friendly with a lot of solo travelers and since the common are is quite compact, you can easily make new friends.
Definitely recommend booking a trip to Zapatilla islands - amazing experience if you want to see some animals (from a safe distance) and beautiful beaches. Also, recommend taking a 40 min walk to Polo beach, which is much better for swimming than Red Frog (ask someone from the staff give you instructions on how to get there!).

We had an amazing stay at Selina Red Frog. Initially booked 2 nights, but ended up staying for 5 because we just couldn’t leave. If we had more time in Panama, I’m sure we’d still be there! The hostel is very social and it is easy to make friends, but what makes this a truly special place is the wildlife all around and the opportunity to learn about it thanks to Tomer. The team made us feel very welcome, had many suggestions for unique activities we never thought of doing before. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a very good stay at Selina red frog. It was easy to get to know people, social in all aspects. Plenty of room to also be for yourself if you wish. It has a great reception/bar area and the staff was very friendly and felt more like your travel buddies than hostel staff. The hostel is situated in the jungle and you may be lucky to encounter all sorts of wild life from monkeys, sloths, possums, frogs and more. The limited supply of water didn't bother us as it was part of the remote jungle experience. The hostel also has a great co-working space which holds a high quality and is equipped with aircon and separate meeting rooms. Tomer was an amazing manager and made sure that everyone had a good experience by sharing interesting facts and recommendations! These guys did an amazing job to keep things up and running for your convenience. The best Selina we've been to so far!

A/C and Dehumidifier was a life saver in the bungalows as it is a rain forest. Very cozy and super close to the beach.

We had a good and surprising experience, staying in a place that is located on the one hand, close to a luxurious marina and resort, while surrounded by jungle, which thanks to the tours under the close guidance of the charming Tomer who knows every animal, or creature that only a professional and experienced observer like his own, can present together with 'background stories', makes the day and night tours so fascinating.
The kind service of the staff under the management of Vera, make the stay a pleasure.

This place is amazing, highly recommended to anyone looking for somewhere off the beaten track ,surrounded by nature and lovely people. It is run by Tomer who has infinite knowledge of the wildlife around. There are loads of things to do and plenty of cool activities in the evening if you feel like socializing.

Favorite place on earth. Amazing people, mind blowing nature, great bed, delicious food and coffee in the middle of the jungle, what else can I ask for?

Had a terrific time in Red Frog. Super jungly atmosphere with amazing hosts. Perfect for an adventure. Tommer is the man. Adrien is also the man. Alfred the sloth used to be the man. Now he's a mum.

Beautiful off the beaten path place. Room was lovely. Best part was the free walking tour with Tomer. He is super knowledgeable and provided more information than we received on most paid tours.
