Ricardo, Jordan & chef super friendly and always available. The Chef is awesome! The food was amazing. The vibe there was so laid back & relaxing. The weather was perfect in December. Love it & will return someday. It’s remote so be prepared to pay $300+ for boat trips to other islands and locations. But definitely worth it! Starfish beach was our highlight on this trip.

Our recent stay at Azul Paradise through Expedia was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Bocas del Toro, having a water taxi pre-scheduled to pick us up at Bocas Docks, and when we stepped off the boat at Azul Paradise, every aspect of our experience was well managed and stress free.

The boat ride from Bocas Town to Azul Paradise takes about 35 minutes, and Capitán Eliberto will ferry you through the scenic mangroves over numerous coral reefs. You may even catch a glimpse of a dolphin or two like we did! When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by the staff with fresh island cocktails. The manager Jordano helped us with our luggage to our overwater bungalow. He explained numerous amenities the resort had to offer including the two main dining areas, yoga studio, beaches, hiking trails, and free access to kayaks, Stand-up paddle boards, and snorkeling equipment.

Our bungalow was spacious, immaculately clean, and the panoramic views from the full wall glass windows were simply breathtaking. Waking up to the ocean waves and sounds of the tropical rainforest made us feel totally at peace. While drinking your morning coffee, you will likely see several different species of fish through the glass floor.

What truly sets Azul Paradise apart is its unparalleled service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. From the warm greeting at check-in to the prompt assistance with setting up excursions, their attention to detail and genuine hospitality were commendable. We were able to visit “Monkey Island” during our visit. We hand fed howler monkeys and interacted with the 16 well cared for monkeys on the island. So awesome!!

We ventured out on the hiking trail to the nearby village with an experienced tour guide who spoke both English and Spanish. We were able to see a Three-Toed Sloth, night monkeys, alligator, and the iconic red frog in their natural habitat.

The resort’s restaurant featured a diverse array of delectable dishes crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, prepared by their on-site Chef. Orlando, Geronimo, and Melisa waited on us and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our dining experience.

Located in a secluded location, my wife and I found ourselves with the privacy we needed to reconnect. Often, we were the only ones on the beach, or the only ones on the walking trail enjoying the sounds of nature. With zero light pollution, we laid on the outdoor swinging beds at night gazing up at the stars.

In conclusion, our experience at Azul Paradise exceeded all expectations, thanks to its impeccable accommodations, outstanding service led by managers Jordano and Ricardo, and the unbeatable location. We highly recommend this resort, and we look forward to returning in the future!

The location was amazing. The rooms even more amazing. The staff was phenomenal. The chef and meals were delectable. I have zero complaints. It was remote and serene and the best way spend Christmas away from home. Will definitely return someday.

Over the last several years I have been to Azul multiple times, and had a great experience each time. The beach resort is such a nice departure from the hustle and bustle of Bocas Town. I plan to continue using the over the water beach bungalows as a great escape to paradise.

We had a wonderful staying here on Dec 22, but we regret that we should stay longer. This is a good place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, the air, the sea, and delicious food.
The resort is well prepared for each tourist, from the welcome fresh coconut to farewell soap (made by coconut oil).
The food is delicious, they can cook different style with local produce, I like fish taco, cheese pizza, chef’s special (Mahi mahi fish), and the passion cheese cake.
Even the resort lists a pre-designed activities, but they would like to customize them to fit our request. All service guys are very nice and friendly, it is like the name, a blue paradise.
We will re-visit and stay longer next time with more friends.

Azul Paradise is an amazing property whether the in town location or the beautiful tropical retreat on Bastimentos. The food service and proprietors are excellent and it's the perfect Caribbean experience. The retreat on Bastimentos feels like you're in Bali or the Maldives only 5 hours from DC. I think I'm moving here.

My boyfriend and I went for a week in July! It was absolutely amazing. The water, island and people were spectacular. Everyday was an adventure! I’d like to be able to make this an annual vacation spot!

If you want to disconnect from the chaos of the world and slip into other most laid back, beautiful, remote, and peaceful of settings, this is your place!
AMAZING STAFF, great location! If you are the type that needs constant connection to the outside world or wants a party scene, this really isn't the place for you! If you want mind blowing views and complete peace, then it is exactly where you want to be!

Beautiful and thoughtful accommodations, friendly and helpful staff, great food (menu changes daily), fresh water included, great service especially compared to other places in panama. The shower and sink have great water pressure, however it was hard to keep the right temperature. The water would get way too hot and then cold when you try to adjust it. For a tiny resort on a remote island, I would expect something like this and worse, but that was really the only issue. They’ve done a great job making it feel high class. The shower temperature did not bother me because of how amazing everything else was. I would highly recommend Azul paradise for anyone wanting to relax and get away. There are no markets or bars on the island, but it is very quiet and peaceful. They do have boats going to and from bocas town a few times a day.

My wife, daughter and I stayed at this resort last month (January, 2017) and had an amazing time. We spent some of the time in a bungalow, and then rented a house on the beach. The staff is pleasant and helpful, the beach is gorgeous, and the locals are friendly. Some things to note: 1. Just like with anywhere in the world, the visibility in the water varies by the tides. So some days will not be good snorkel or scuba days. You will want to do one of the other tours (we loved the chocolate farm) if a storm just passed through. 2. The power went off for a few minutes here and there, but it was cloudy a few days and the resort is powered mostly by solar during the day. 3. The beach is very nice, there was a little construction going on because a new pool was getting installed on the beach. The construction was completed during the end of our stay, and they were just waiting for more rain to be able to fill the pool. It looks like we may have to come back to check it out

What an amazing time we spent here! The staff was excellent and met our needs any time we asked for anything. When we talked with the owners, it sometimes felt like we were old friends catching up on life. We stayed in one of the over water bungalows and loved it. The view was amazing and it was cozy, the owners even brought us a personal coffee pot and provided all I needed to make my own until the staff got up to start breakfast (I woke up generally around 5am). We had boat travel easily arranged to Bocas when we wanted for suba diving which was twice. After coming back from diving one day, the staff had set up our room, arranged a private dinner on our deck, and left us a bottle of bubbly for our honeymoon we never took and our anniversary(as we were celebrating both)! The options for food are obviously limited, but everything was delicious and we never had a bad meal, the chefs are great! This is an off grid location, so don't expect that you're going to sandals resorts. The wife and I will come back again!

Remote, secluded, and sooo relaxing! We stopped for drinks & lunch, and enjoyed every bits of it. Clearly not for everyone but definitely worth it.

Relaxing atmosphere where one could unwind and recharge. The food was excellent. I have noted that some have complained about bugs...it is the jungle, what do you expect? Our experience we had no trouble with bugs, though we went prepared with bug spray and we hardly used it. Was not aware that it was an eco resort. However, on learning this it only added to the overall experience and my hat off to them. Staff was professional and friendly.

This is the most amazing resort in Bocas del Toro. You get to be swept away to a private island with white sand beaches as far as you can see. The bungalows are over the water and the views area breathtaking. The resort is eco-friendly and always conserving, but it's definitely worth it to experience the seclusion and be surrounded by nature. The resort is new and there are so many updates. A new yoga deck was added, spa and pool in the last year. I would have to say my favorite part of the experience is the staff though. The resort hires 40 Nobge Indians from the local village and their is always a friendly face ready to help and show you around.
