Parque Municipal Summit

In the Summit, there are many birds and other animals to observe.
Although the small park is in the city, it is very natural and relaxing. A beautiful park with a zoo. Wonderful native animals and plants, large enclosures. Easily accessible by taxi or Bus.
There are also food options, such as the hot dogs as a simply delicious small meal.
Definitely worth a visit.

Nothing fancy, but we'll worth the $5 it cost to get in. Only in Panama for a few days, and found this as we were driving along the canal. It is $5us for non Panama residents, and takes a few hours to wander through, but it is very nice. Don't expect a big fancy zoo, more of a rescue location. When we were there it was not busy, the few workers we interacted with were good. It was quite hot so most of the animals were resting.

Nestled on the northern fringe of the city in Gamboa, this city park is well kept, and a treat for the eyes. It features a number of exotic animals, a mini butterfly conservatory and an expansive footprint of rolling hills perfect for picnicing families. Filled with beautiful native plants and flowering trees, This park is a great place to unwind and appreciate creation.

This is such a beautiful and large park and zoo. The staff were kind and the Harpy eagle was so mystical and enchanting. The jaguar was beautiful and the tapir so silly and peaceful! And the spider monkies very curious and odd creatures, haha. Please visit and support this nice place!! My mom and I were visiting from the United States.

Excellent to spend the day with family

Great place to visit with the family. Butterfly farm, zoo with local species, walking trails and places to celebrate small family events.

Nice place for kids and familly something like zoo.. and fast food inside

Came for the Harpie eagle they have here after a trip in the Darién jungle(where I saw a kid in nest)
The park is for this part of the world one of the best I have seen. All animals looked well kept even though some cages was a bit small.
There is a kayman in one of the ponds. Do not touch. They are faster than you if you try.

And the birdlife in the park. Love it. I do animal photos around the world and this was a nice day. Got some new birds to my collection and now I talk about wild birds.

Price is 5$ for foreigners and it is open all week. Food can bought I side and toilets are available.
There was a bus that went directly from Albrok bussterminal but the bus to the police academy goes more frequently. The walk to the park was nice but stay on the side of the road facing traffic. Saw two howling monkeys on the way there.

One of the best outings we had while in panama..... so many animals, the park was very clean and not overcrowded.

Nice zoo that hosts lots of animals that were rescued from private owners that kept them as pets. There are regularly special events ob different topics and aspects of tropical ecology. It's recommended to visit during the week, it's usually pretty busy on weekends.

Good place to visit with kids there are some places to play and many animals from Panama to see. Place look like a jungle so we enjoy the visit. We were with 2 years old kid

This is a great place to visit. So many animals to see and enjoy. Many are in small enclosures but it seems they are making some new larger ones. Thank goodness. There is so much space that there is no need to keep the animals in such small areas. The grounds are excellent maintained. Great areas for picnics. The washrooms need more attention as we left at 1pm & already there was no paper products and all them were in great need of being cleaned. They need to hourly checks in them.

Although the caged animals and birds are interesting, the real attraction of this park are the birds and insects in the wild who make the diversely populated plants and trees their home. This is probably the best place to spot various hummingbirds without resorting to sugar water syrup. And of course the harpy eagle is just so majestic and mesmerizing.

Great place and lovely for a walk with the family

Nice park a short drive from the city. They have various animals and a playground.

Beautiful spacious botanical gardens well laid out and curated. Huge variety of rescued and endangered birds and mammals. Refreshments available. Children's play areas.

Very well maintained park. Lots of parrots, monkeys, a puma and other animals. We were disappointed that we were unable to see the jaguar due to veterinary care but otherwise very enjoyable. Entry was only $5.00 for tourists.
