Coffee Mountain Inn

Everything was brilliant.

We loved being served meals on our private balcony.

We also loved the tours we did. Tubing was amazing and exciting (definitely not for everyone as it was almost like white water rafting.... But we loved it!). The night tour was very nice too... We saw snakes, spiders, frogs, scorpions, huge grasshoppers and cockroaches, bats! Was very cool and the guide was extremely knowledgeable.

The Inn is managed by a couple that gladly share the beauty of the area. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Nobody can expect anything better in Santa Fé. The Area is gorgeous, worthy the patience of the long ride with many potholes on the way😅.

This was probably the best place we stay during our two week Panama trip. Our room was very nice with lovely terrace and great views. We enjoyed having a breakfast there or just reading a book in the evening. On the other hand, t is fair to say that owners were not really friendly and welcoming but they were polite at least. Santa Fe in general is amazing area for relaxing, tracking and swimming. It has a laid back local atmosphere. There are no bars, no big hotels just few restaurants.

Clean rooms and nice hot showers . Owners are lovely, friendly, peaceful, helpful.
The owners have a little mini fridge up front as well where you can purchase little beverages as well as locally-made tamales (amazing!) and local chocolate (delicious). Tours were great also . I particularly liked the river hike and tubing down the river ! All the guides are professional and knowledgeable, they clearly love and respect the landscape and all it’s creatures/animals/birds/big cats

Our accommodation on a round trip through Panama. A cosy bed and breakfast with a magnificent mountain view and breakfast in front of your own room at your preferred time. Great starting point for tours and hikes.
What is their speciality, they offer a whole range of different tours. For example, to a coffee plantation, jungle night tour, orchid tour and river-tubing. Which was great fun even at the end of the dry season.
Chaeli the owner is super friendly and helpful! Even when a disoriented tourist like me needs directions to the Toucan Trail for the third time.

Very nice Bed & Breakfast. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast served on the individual terrace. I highly recommend the tubing tour on the Santa Maria river with barbecue at the end.

Santa Fe is magical and the Inn fits right into the setting. Breakfast on the balcony with view over the mountains is a perfect way to start your day. Owner proposes really good treks which I highly recommend! Rooms are good size and clean. There is also a nice outdoor area perfect for evening drinks with your next door neighbor.

We enjoyed the excellent service and hospitality. Everything is impeccably clean and works. Congratulations to the owners and caretakers who make this place always enjoyable.

Staying in Santa Fe? Coffee Mountain Inn is the perfect place. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. The owners are really nice and helpful even for late arrivals. Chaeli is actually American! Coffee Mountain Inn is also close to the attractions including a walking distant to Cerro Tute. Oh and they got clean showers with warm water which is always a big plus in Panama!

Can’t recommend the CMI enough. I was working in Santiago and needed to get away for a day, Chaeli was quick to respond to a last minute reservation and communication was easy via WhatsApp. The room was clean and the “simple supper” was delicious. I had just finished a sweaty hike up Cerro Tute so chilling on the patio with an adult beverage and watching the lighting flash in the distant hills was sublime. Coffee and breakfast provided the fuel for another sweaty (and muddy) hike into Bermejo falls (watch out for slippery rocks, and if you find a Leatherman Skeletool somewhere on that trail, it’s now yours, I guess it’s decided to see other people). Loved my night here and if I ever make it back to Santa Fe I know where I’ll stay again. Thank you!

Beautiful views from up the mountain. Breakfast served on our terrace. Good but some strenuous walks. Rooms spotlessly clean. With advanced notice they will cook a simple Panamanian meal served on your terrace in the evening.

We enjoyed such a lovely short stay here. The rooms are clean and nice and the view is amazing. Wifi connection is iffy, though. Close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants in town for dinner. A lovely breakfast served on your patio with linen tablecloth and linen napkins, a rarity in Panama!

A gorgeous spot with friendly and helpful owners. We were spoiled with a yummy breakfast each morning and one night tried the coffee plantation dinner (an add on excursion) and the food was amazing (but bring bug spray!!!). Overall I was really impressed with the services provided to us and how comfortable the rooms were.

All good except for not been ready to check in at 3 o’clock, but there are chairs in the terrace (not too late either). They don’t charge your credit card until you’re there so if you want to pay in cash when checking in, that’s possible. The view is good, there aren’t a lot of rooms in this inn so for me this is good, I like a little bit of privacy. I saw like 3-4 cars so there might be 4-5 rooms max (not sure). The owner, I think, gave us a map of the town of Santa Fe and all possible activities we could do by ourselves (hiking, swimming and eating out options). The room has a fan, a/c, my room had 3 beds, tv and cable, WiFi (limited), coffee maker inside the room with 2 small bags of coffee, sugar and cream. The mattress is comfortable and everything smelled and looked clean. Enough towels were provided and there’s liquid soup and shampoo in the shower. (At night, power went off a couple of times but that’s out of their hands, luckily it wasn’t for long periods). Oh! The breakfast was great and on time!

We didn't stay at Coffee Mountain Inn, but we wish we had. We stopped by to ask about their tours and Chaeli was so helpful. We went on a brilliant trek with her to Cascada Lomas Grande, which was a bit challenging for us but Chaeli was brilliant and really knowledgeable on the terrain. Very helpful with suggestions on where we could trek on our own.

If you're going to Panama and want a truly unique and wonderful experience go and stay with Chaile and Celestino at their very comfortable inn in the rainforest of Santa Fe. Be sure to utilize their guide services, too. We found them friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating.

No internet, no tv, no cell service if it rains. Great rooms, great patios, great breakfasts.
