San Carlos Surf Resort (adventure & holistic)

My wife (30) and I (34) had a great time here. Staff was super nice and very helpful. We enjoyed surfing and swimming and just reconnecting from the world. I would absolutely go again and don’t miss on the Pinacolada at the bar (best one I ever had)

We stayed for 1 night during our trip back to Panama City. We loved it. The beach is great, the staff is nice and the resort is perfect for a short stay

We had the most amazing time and did NOT WANT TO LEAVE… everything from the moment we arrived was perfect. Spend the extra few bucks and get room #7. The bed, the view… it’s amazing. Javi makes the best veggie pizza I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. Daniella is so sweet and kind and took great care of us. If you put a little honey in her coffee in the morning it’s delicious.

As for the surfing, the instructor Rodrigo is very very good alot of attention to detail and you will catch waves 100%. For intermediate surfers the Hawaiisito break out from to the right at high tide gets really good waves. Palmar was sweet it wasn’t crowded but had amazing waves at low tide.

This place is amazing!!!! My kids have surfed with Brooke many times and they absolutely love her and the entire atmosphere. I have stayed in their rooms several times as well. This place is the real deal. The location is unbelievable. The work they have done to make this place so relaxing and environmentally friendly is unreal. Ping pong, a beach swing, beach chairs, SUP boarding up the river, surfing right out their front door, kids running around, nice music, the whole set up is really cool. I highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our time at San Carlos Surf Resort. Right on the beach, with a fun little tiki bar, open air kitchen, games such as ping-pong and cornhole, and of course surf lessons and rentals. Great place to just pause and relax for a few days.
Owned by a friendly American couple who sold everything and moved to Panama with their daughter.
Try the homemade pizzas. World class.
Excellent service, food, and cocktails by Javi and Daniella.
Hope to make it back for more R&R one day!

Awesome beach resort! The customer service is top notch and the rooms are so cool! You can tell mostly everything was built by hand and a great job at it!

The beach is right in front of you, just steps away! 🤯

Oh and the prices, you can't beat them for the amenities you are getting! Its almost a bit ridiculous to be honest.

Definitely what you would call in Panama a BBB (Bueno, Bonito y Barato) and those are hard to find! 👌🏻

San Carlos Surf Resort is located right on the water - easy walk to multiple surf breaks that accommodate both high and low tides. They are also only a short drive to various other surf breaks in San Carlos and Chame Districts. Dixon and Brooke have the area wired for where/when to go based on current conditions.

The resort has a great breakfast and for later in the day a bar with current surf events playing on the TV.

You can tell the owners have put their hearts into the Resort, developing a positive/energetic surf culture and bringing environmental awareness/action for San Carlos.

I will definitely be back!

The rooms and beds are very comfortable, the atmosphere is relaxing, cozy and beautiful. The service is outstanding and the food is excellent! You pay a little more but it’s 100% worth it!

San Carlos Surf Resort is a Beautiful surfing place by the San Carlos beach with really comfortable rooms , nice bar with all kind of cocktails drinks and beers also a restaurant with delicious food !!! So I recommend it as a place to spend some quality time with your family and friends !!!

Javie's food and margaritas are fantastic and the location has a beautiful beach front.
