Arboloco

Do not hesitate to dine at Arboloco. We both agreed it was the best food and service we have ever had and for reference we eat dinner out at least 2- 3 times per week. I had the tofu and my hubby ordered the mahi mahi (catch of the day) and both dinners were so full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The tofu option was full of different vegetables, and all had been seasoned differently. We started with the zucchini appetizer and Guatemalan cocktail and even though we were stuffed there was no way we were leaving without dessert, so we ordered two! Arboloco is decorated around nature and so unique. From the furniture to the art and the tableware -visually stunning. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The master chef/owner is a delight and mingled with her guests ensuring everyone was happy, she helped my hubby order since he has to watch his salt intake. In the US we would have paid 2 or 3 times for this quality of food so when the bill came, I was blown away. To top it off, there was a sloth with her baby dining on the tree right next to where other diners were seated. If possible, I would give Arboloco more than 5 stars.

We love it!! We've been there two times this week. The first time was about 4 on a Saturday so we popped in for a quick drink and coconut shrimp appetizer. Our waitress Erica was delightful, friendly, and so welcoming! The place is super charming and exotic. The second time we went for dinner and got the pork tenderloin and it was a huge delicious portion! It feels like a cute family amongst the bartender, waitress and the chefs. We highly recommend!!

This place is magical. I am genuinely surprised that it does not have at least one michelin star as it is well worth a detour. We had the arboloco sampler as an appetizer and were able to sample many of their foods, and we have had arboloco cocktails, then we had the jerk pineapple chicken. It was all phenomenal. I have had the fortune of being able to attend restaurants across the world with michelin stars and bib gourmand awards but Arboloco may have served me the best food I have eaten in many years. If you go to Panama or Bocas, you must come here.

Last night we and a private party of about 20 had an enchanting meal at Arboloco. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food and drinks alone were fantastic but the owners/hosts were extremely attentive, generous, and welcoming. My husband and I are vegetarian and we left with our bellies contentedly full. The meat/fish eaters in our party were equally pleased. It is a super romantic place for a special date night meal or if you want to feel like you are eating a meal cooked by a highly skilled friend or family member. The restaurant itself is a work of art with hidden details in every corner and beautiful handmade lighting. Make your way out to Paunch; it is definitely worth the effort. This is our new favorite place. Sorry folks, I was so focused on eating that I forgot to take photos of the food. YUM!

Wow! That is the most amazing meal I have had in a long time. From the coal fired food to the delicious, cocktails with fresh fruit, absolutely delicious. Don’t leave Bocas del toros without stopping by. These people are amazing. Service was fine dining status with a quirky, unique atmosphere that you could only find here! Eat here!

Fantastic Caribbean restaurant in Bocas. There is so much to love about this place. The ambiance is relaxing and just overall improves your mood. Everything is made out of natural or up-cycled materials which is nice and gives the restaurant a unique look.

The food was delicious. I shared the West Indian Fried Cauliflower and Chorizo and Shrimp appetizers as well as the Mixed Grill entree with another person. It all ended up being perfect portions and I loved everything I had. The sausage was especially good. Lastly, we got the Fogata S'mores for dessert and they were so fun. We actually went and roasted the marshmallows in the fire pit! They also gave us alcoholic shots with our check.

Overall, wonderful experience here. We did have some trouble getting in as we did not make a reservation before coming, but there are no notes on Google Maps or the website on reservations, so just be aware of that. Highly recommend Arboloco for a night out!

Having eaten all over the world, and being a die hard foodie, I can easily say this restaurant’s food is now in my top ten best meals of my life. Creative menu, without being too weird. Artistic ambience. Lovely attentive service. Home made everything!!! If you are ever in Bocas do yourself a favor and go bask in the glory of this chef’s creations. I ordered the coconut shrimp, the five seed bread, and “forced” myself to order the amazing torte for desert because I didn’t want the goodness to end. The only thing wrong with that meal was that it eventually concluded. If you’re looking for artistic, generous, creative, fresh food in a magical , tropical location in the jungle, just steps from the ocean, make certain to go here. I am smitten!!

By far one of the best Caribbean fusion restaurant. The food is on next level, flavors, taste, presentation absolutely amazing.
Also the restaurant setting is something not to missed as you will be transfer to a different world nested in the jungle surrounded by beautiful art decoration and hand made furniture by the owners.

We went once for drinks, appetizers, and wine and it was all wonderful. We had a reservation for Valentine’s for dinner and again the food, drinks and atmosphere were out of this world, The decor and jungle setting was so unique and the owner was very attentive and friendly. We.would highly recommend this restaurant as a hidden gem in Bocas del Toro as a must visit unique dining experience!

What a beautiful restaurant! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so kind and welcoming. Each table is unique with place settings ready like you’re dining at a friend’s home (that happens to be in a jungle 😉)

The vegan tofu bowl and fried cauliflower were probably my favorite dishes out of them all. We also ordered coconut shrimp appetizer which was excellent. The ropa vieja pork dish was too sweet for my taste but my friend enjoyed it.

The key lime pie was the perfect way to end the meal.

Bring extra cash to go down to the little art cafe attached to the restaurant. Next time, I would come for lunch so I can explore the paths and see more animals than we could in the evening.

This has been the best food in Bocas, everything about it was awesome. The service was amazing, with a very kind and caring waitress. One of the owners stopped by and we had a great conversation.

A not-to-be-missed place! We had a wonderful dinner on Saturday that was both creative and delicious, made all the more magical by the location. The staff were also super friendly and made great recommendations. Be sure to check their instagram for any important updates (like if they are on a break) before you head there, but whatever you do make sure you go!

I had an outstanding dining experience at this restaurant. The food was truly spectacular, but what set it apart was the exceptional warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Their genuine hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. Highly recommended!

Awesome food! They only had 2 vegetarian plates but those were amazing! Also the staff was great and the location is stunningly beautiful. I definitely recommend to go there (&try the Banana Heaven desert!!)

All I can say is wow. This place is a must eat if you are in Bocas. I'd give more than 5 stars. Incredible food and atmosphere!

We ate dinner here last night. The food was delicious, our waitress Milly was wonderful. great food at very good prices.

A must stop when in Bocas or surrounding islands….or Central America. Atmosphere, service, food, all amazing. Exactly what you would hope to find on a tropical island. Excited we found them early in our trip so we can go back multiple times.

Did not leave the place yet but want to write this reviews. So far the ambiance, drinks and the food is great. Service is very nice as well. Love it! Keep it up guys!
