El toucan loco

I can not say enough fabulous things about my experience there. I stayed one night. Oh my....the host and his lovely partner cooked us dinner and breakfast at their own house. Let's not forget about the floating lodge....so comfortable and adorable. The beds are very comfortable and the lodges are so well put together and painted so cute. We are definitely coming back and staying several night next time. I am giving my whole experience with this wonderful gem a total thumbs up. Hearing the howler monkeys in the am was a total bonus

Hostess and host were absolutely amazing!!!!! Hospitality was above and beyond what I ever imagined. Home cooked meal (amazing). Floating lodges were superb. Eco friendly, compassionate, the dogs were amazing also.!!!! If I could give a 10☆I would.

We spent 4 nights at the Toucan Loco in November 2023. It was an awesome experience living for a little bit floating on the water, totally off-grid. Our hosts, Sylvie and Olivier, were great and they did a great job making our accommodation cozy and exceptional. In the evenings we had some good life discussions, learning about each other's lives around a nice drink. The cooking they offer is practically all local or from their garden and is delicious. Their breakfast too is phenomenal. They kindly offered to let us use their kayaks and we explored the surrounding mangroves and lush shores. The nights are so quiet helping us fall asleep to the sounds of the rain and the forest. If you are looking for some quite relaxing moments this is the place for you. Merci beaucoup!

a beautiful place to stay, and even nicer than on the pictures. from the moment olivier took us per boat to the lodge, we entered a completely different world. very relaxing! and eco-friendly. (but there‘s a „real“ toilet, don’t worry.) was also great to have the meals together, sylvie is a fantastic cook.

Olivier and Sylvie are very special hosts and the lodge is one of the most beautiful places we visited.
The place is completely private, very comfortable and beautifully decorated.
You are going to have your own kayaks, can go snorkeling and enjoy time at this unique paradise.
Sylvie is a brilliant chef and we enjoyed every meal together with them very much! Both Olivier and Sylvie are very interesting and inspiring people who made sure we felt very much at home!

Tranquility ... beauty ... rest & relaxation & plenty to do (if you want it)!!!
Olivier & Sylvie - owners and hosts - both go out of their way to make your stay perfect - from the immaculately clean & beautifully furnished rooms ... to the amenities they provide (dingies, kayaks, snorkel gear) to the beautiful grounds and food that will surprise and delight! Sylvie's cooking is creative & clever; she goes out of her way to incorporate locally grown fruits & veg in all her creations. If she happens to overhear that you particularly like something - you can be sure she'll find a way to make it for you. Olivier's knowledge of the area and his warm & friendly demeanor was so appreciated at all times but especially on the excursion to Zapatillas island that we enjoyed with the other guests at the lodge.
The rooms are great! Perfectly clean, beautifully furnished & decorated - rustic yet very comfortable. Really enjoyed the outdoor shower & home-made soap.
Their respect of the environment & nature was so appreciated & we were happy to do our part.
The grounds are beautifully kept - you'll enjoy their pup Bria, their sheep and a few chickens milling about. Your meals are taken on their terrace - beautifully furnished with a wonderful array of artwork & crafts - where you're treated more like treasured friends than paying guests. The view from the terrace is their gorgeous gardens with the ocean and archipelego beyond. Simply stunning. This is an experience not to be missed and a memory that we will treasure! This place; and the hosts that run it, are very special. The floating lodge is absolute magical. The hosts put in a lot of their passion into every detail of this beautiful stay- from the decor of the lodge, to the private beach, to the food, to the activities- everything about our experience was extremely enjoyable. We didn't want to leave!! We enjoyed taking the kayaks to visit the nearby slothes, sitting in the hammocks, eating the delicious meals, and simply doing nothing. The Toucan Loco is a super unique stay in Bocas, we highly, highly recommend it!!

Olivier and Sylvie were excellent hosts and the lodges and the entire place are just a dream! Special thanks for Olivier for everything he did for us and also to Sylvie for all her inspiration in preparating delicious dishes for us! Thank you very much Tucan Loco and we hope to be back!

The lodge is very comfortable and owners ensure you’re well looked after. The lodge floats gently, nights are generally quiet (with exception of neighboring roosters). Since there is little electricity around and no light pollution, you will able to watch stars from the deck like nowhere else in Panama. Food was very good, especially desserts!
Watch out for those mosquitoes/ chitras bites and come with some strong repellent!

Ruhe Oase
Ein wunderschöner Ort, um mal wieder runter zu kommen.
Die Betreiber sind sehr bemüht und hilfsbereit!
Man fühlt sich von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl und willkommen.
Die Anlage ist super gepflegt, wie auch die Bungalows. Alle drei befinden sich auf dem Wasser und sind nur mit einem kleinen Schlauchboot zu erreichen, was kein Problem darstellt.
3 Kajaks stehen für die Gäste zur kostenlosen Verfügung. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, sie zu benutzen. Wir haben beim zweiten Versuch eine Faultiermama mit Baby entdecken dürfen :)
Am zweiten Tag hatten wir 2 Delfine in unmittelbarer Nähe zu unserem Bungalow. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, abends in der Anlage sehr gut zu essen ( ca. 24$ pro Person). Es gibt keine Restaurants in der Umgebung.
Wer Ruhe und Natur sucht in Verbindung freundschaftlicher Atmosphäre, ist hier genau richtig!
Danke für die echt schönen 3 Tage, die wir hier verbringen dürften, lieber Oliver und liebe Sylvie! Es war toll mit/bei euch!

Waouh waouh waouh !!!! Quel séjour magnifique avec Sylvie et Olivier ! Nous avons d ailleurs eu le bonheur de rajouter une 4 ieme nuit. Des coraux magnifiques, un accueil et cuisine soignée ... Le confort tout en étant en pleine nature ... Je ne peux en raconter plus sans dévoiler l expérience a vivre !!! Je dirais juste qu Olivier avait commandé plusieurs matin les dauphins qui sont passés a 30 m devant l ecolodge ;)

Magnifique !!! Nous nous sommes régalés chez Sylvie et Olivier.
Cabane flottante dans un lieu paradisiaque ! Accueil et cuisine au top !
On n’avait pas envie de repartir…
Virée avec Olivier dans son spot de plongée et rencontre avec les paresseux … on a même eu le dauphin pour finir !!!
On recommande à 1000%.

Olivier hohlte uns pünktlich in Almirante mit dem Boot ab. Auf der Fahrt zur Lodge haben wir gleich Delphine gesehen :) Die floting Lodge ist sogar noch besser als auf den Fotos ersichtlich: supergemütlich, stilvoll, mit vielen hübschen Details und sehr sauber.

Die Lodge kann nur auf dem Wasserweg, also mittels eines kleinen Bootes, erreicht werden. Das fanden wir aber gar nicht schlimm, ganz im Gegenteil: es war immer sehr lustig. Nach anfänglichen im-Kreis-fahr-Beschwerden hatten wir den Dreh auch bald raus und konnten so problemlos jeweils am Landsteg anlegen, von wo der Weg hoch zum Haus von Silvie und Olivier führt.

Die Terrasse der floating Lodge mit Hängematte war dermassen gemütlich, dass wir Stunden auf ihr verbracht haben und einfach den Ausblick über die Bucht genossen haben.
Fast am besten hat uns die (outdoor)-Dusche gefallen. Am allertollsten waren jedoch unsere Gastgeber: Silvie kocht wirklich unglaublich gut (Tipp: die Cocos- und auch die Zitronen-Konfitüre sollte man sich auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen!) und Olivier weiss immer etwas zu erzählen und kann wohl so ziemlich alles flicken. Er hat uns auch zu einem Riff in der Nähe gebracht, wo wir schnorcheln konnten - es war atemberaubenden: Farbenfrohe gesunde Korallen, die berühmten Seesterne, Rochen und so weiter.

Olivier und Silvie haben uns im wahrsten Sinne verwöhnt. Es wird schwer einen ähnlichen Standart zu finden. Wir können die Toucan Loco floating lodge wärmstens empfehlen und würden immer wieder dort übernachten.

Wir hatten wunderbare Tage der Erholung und Entspannung an diesem einzigartigen Plätzchen umgeben von der vielseitigen Schönheit des Archipels. Sylvia und Olivier sind phantastische Gastgeber.

Un petit coin de paradis au milieu de la nature avec Olivier et Sylvie qui nous reçoit dans la convivialité, le partage et le bonheur, une cuisine extra et des activités juste parfaites. Nous sommes restés 5 nuits et n'avons pas vu le temps passé ce fût magique grâce à vous et espérons que nous aurons l'opportunité de nous recroiser, ne changer rien et rester commes vous êtes, merci pour tous, c'est rare de croiser des personnes comme cela 😁
