The place is wonderful, the breakfast and the typical building were really nice. Perfect to feel surrounded by Patan's atmosphere! And Yelos, such a knowledgeable and skilled guy! He paints classical nepali art and made me a drawing in my journal, I loved it.

We had a lovely time at Hira! The place is meticulously designed, sparkling clean, and reeking of luxury and old world charm! The place and rooms look even better than in photos.

Mika, the caretaker, goes above and beyond for your needs, is always available and polite. And Yelos helped us with issues that came up for us so promptly. Also - if you are lucky enough to get breakfast cooked by Yelos' mum, you have reached Nepali heaven! 🤩

I had the pleasure of staying at a Hira guest house located in the heart of the old part of Kathmandu, just a stone's throw away from the main square. The guest house itself is nestled within a historical building, exuding a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any needs. The breakfast served was absolutely delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the warm hospitality of Yelos and his family, who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Kathmandu

What a wonderful historical place to stay. It’s right in the heart of Patan Square area and just oozes history and culture. Yelos and the whole family and team are incredibly generous and hospitable. This simple, quiet and charming guest house is a perfect place to experience Patan. Highly recommended.

Perfectly located in an historical building a few steps away from Durbar square. The room and the courtyard are shielded from the traffic jam’s noise - see video attached! The hospitality is simply the best I’ve ever received. The owner and her staff were available 24/7 and very forthcoming and that gave me the peace of mind to enjoy the city whilst my partner was in bed, knocked out by a food bug - they provided her with medicines and expert advice. The atmosphere they have created is awesome too, I really enjoyed having a drink either in the courtyard or on the balconies. The food was delicious too. I would give 6 stars if I could. Thank you so much for everything and I hope we’ll have a chance to staying at Hira again!

I loved staying here. It was like staying in a museum. The building is around 300 years old and beautiful. It is nestled in the atmospheric little alleys that I lov d to wander. Courtyard attached was good. Staff very very friendly to young children. Good coffee shop about 20 steps away.

Such a quiet, cosy yet very central boutique hotel. The team is wonderful and really looks after the guests during the stay. They also run a wonderful charity project to help children and their families in need with education and general health advices and support. Thank you for the unforgettable experience and for the wonderful people you are! We will definitely be back!

Hira Guest House is a delightful, historic place to stay and enjoy! Rooms are in the traditional Newari style, but have modern bathroom amenities and very comfortable beds! The rooms are very clean, beautifully furnished and appointed with traditional decor for your enjoyment. Free and fast WiFi, good books in library, great views from the rooftop of the area surrounding The Golden Temple and great food. Peaceful and private patio (called "chowk" in Nepali) on ground level to relax, have coffee, eat or read. The staff is warm, caring and know how to make you feel welcome. Hospitality is A+ here.

Charming boutique inn right in the middle of historic Patan. We had 3 rooms for our party of 6 adults and 2 children. It was incredibly quiet at night and the staff were very attentive. The ceilings are low but Nepalis in the 18th century were very short so if you want authentic, you work with it. They padd the top of door frames in case you forget! It is not fancy but full of charm and character. The beds are comfortable.

I stayed here for 3 weeks. Manju and Nishan were amazing and very helpful. Breakfast was also great. If I go to Kathmandu again, would definitely stay here again.

Joyful environment, feels like own typical Nepali home which have traditional building and equipments. The one who has not visited this guest house yet, will regret for lifetime. And at last i wanna say that, this house will never let you feel dissatisfaction interms of services and food.

Loved this gem in Patan. The people that work here are the sweetest, you can tell they enjoy their job and want you to feel comfortable. Rooms are traditional Newari style and have such a charm to it. There is also a common area kitchen for guest to use. Guest house is 2 minute walk from Durbar square. Would definitely stay again.

If you have time to spend in Patan this is the place where you must stay. Yalos and his family will cuddle you and take care of every need you may have.

Get a unique experience of staying in a century old traditional Newari house refurbished with modern amenities located just next to Patan Durbar Square, the famous world heritage site. A great place to understand local tradition with warm hospitality of the staffs.

Homely and kind staffs and generous with smiles, as its name suggests, I found this place truly a jewel.
