Himalayan Java - Tridevi Thamel

It's a nice western style cafe chain in Nepal. The coffee was consistently good; I had the Australian style cappuccino, which is a decent cup compared to back home.

Do not come here for a cultural experience, this is a nice place to come if you need a reminder of home.

Can't beat this place in Kathmandu, imo. This location is very big, but still has some comfy couch-type seats, and it's cool looking, and just fun to be in. It looks recently remodeled/ painted.

They really know what they're doing, excellent on all fronts, food, atmosphere and service. This is definitely my favorite coffee place in Kathmandu.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere! This coffee house in Thamel-Kathmandu is one of the best coffee houses I have ever visited. The place is huge, the ambience is lovely, the food is superb and the service is fine. Highly recommended for a coffee break with friends.

Great place for breakfast and coffee. Quite pricey but that's to be expected for the type of good food they have. Large coffee is really large and the shop has great atmosphere. Good clean sit toilets too.

Great spot to hang out for a bit, lots of seating, variety on the menu, and good coffee. I had the shakshuka (not something I expected to find in kathamndu!) and it was good!

Perfect place for working, chilling, dating or even reading a book. The cafe is peaceful with chill vibes. The food is really good and they have amazing range of cold and hot drinks. The ambience is amazing with plants everywhere. If you are a coffee enthusiast then this is a Nepali coffee paradise. They also have these coffee processing machines that might interest you and level up the vibe. The place has really good hygiene and cleanliness. The staffs are super friendly and humble. Loved my time here. In terms of affordability the prices are on a higher range.

A lovely place to indulge your taste buds . Spacious and relaxed environment. Kids friendly . Good music and good food . The view is also awesome . They serve quite a lot of variety of food along with bakery items . Overall it is a nice clean place to eat and spend your time .

The food and drinks were delicious, the place is very spacious with plenty of tables and good ambiance to work. Prices are slightly higher than similar cafés but food quality and service efficiency do justice.

It's always a good experience at Java. The place is clean with good customer service and fast food delivery. The portion of the food was generous and yum. The washrooms were kept clean as well.

You want good coffee in Katmandu? This is the place. Nice big cafe with very good coffee and top service. Start or finish your day in thamel there!

The pizza here was fantastic - yes, as weird as that sounds the pizza here was fantastic. We got the mushroom pizza and the margherita pizza - both of them had a great crisp and tons of flavor.

Also the coffee here was great, no complaints what so ever - they had some really amazing coffee machines and the beans were extremely fresh and delicious.

The space was huge on the second floor - indoors and outdoors, very open with a ton of seating and very well decorated. A really cute coffee shop.

I would say their cookies/cakes/desserts were not good. The cookies were hard and probably a bit old.

We had French press coffee, a latte, and hot chocolate for the kids. The coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. The place manages to look modern and cozy at the same time. Probably the best coffee shop in Kathmandu.

Nice place to sit and get coffee in Thamel. Supposedly, this is the main store for Himalayan Java coffee and it shows. Huge cafe with lots of seats and extensive menu. I always get the v60 pour over, so got that and it didn't disappoint - smooth, delicious coffee. I loved the ambience of the place with a lot of coffee supplies if you're looking for coffee gadgets - from grinders, to espresso machines to even an aeropress. It was a little odd that they had clothing in the middle of a coffee shop; at least every clothing item was 50% off so maybe they're closing that part down. All in all, a great place to get some coffee and meet up with friends in Thamel.

Loved the vibes there. The service was better than okay. Cozy place to go on a first date.

Excellent spot weather you need to rest from shopping or street noise or want to have a break and read a book. Good coffee, good selection of cakes. Just chill and relax. The place is spacious and have seats just by the street but also a bit further away.

Nice coffee place to relax and have a nice warm drink. On a side note, I wish more coffee places would offer brown sugar or zero cal as an alternative to regular granulated white sugar.

Great atmosphere with different functional areas - big TV for watching cricket, comfy sofas for intimate conversations, shop for winter clothes, outside area, sheltered from the sun.
My best picks are the Mocca madness, avocado omelette and blueberry shake.
