Fantastic hotel. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and polite. Great location in Thamel District and short walk to so many amazing locations. Always a taxi outside too. Food was great, particularly the omelette. Also, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Great rooftop terrace too. Worth every penny! Would highly recommend.

The hotel is very well located: in Thamel but on a quiet street.

The Friends Home hotel really lives up to its name. The manager and the whole team are really nice and helpful.

Just an example: on the day of my departure, my flight was at 11 p.m. I checked out at noon. The manager told me he will make a room available for me so I could take a nap and take a shower. I was very touched but I didn't plan to take advantage of it because I didn't want to make them work.
In the evening, when I collected my luggage before going to the airport, they gave me the keys to a room to take a shower before my flight. I refused at first but they insisted and it was very pleasant.

I've been coming back to this hotel four times and it's not the last!

Great hotel with very nice rooms and excellent staff. It is in such a good location of thamel. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The restaurant has awesome food and full time staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This guy place is really good. The rooms are clean. The young people that work here are phenomenal, the go the extra mile on everything they do. The manager is there to help at all times. It’s 5 minutes from everything. This is perhaps the best value in Katmandu. I high recommend it. Mr. Canada

Just had a wonderful stay in Hotel Friends Home. Mr. Rajkumar and his team were very friendly, polite, helpful and courteous. They looked forward to helping accommodate each and every guest. The location is really nice and close to all sorts of eating places that can adjust to everyone's budget. My room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was very satisfying. I highly recommend this place when visiting Kathmandu. The price was very economical and surely I will be back.

Wow! What a great place to stay. It was so great that we stayed there 3 times during our trip to Nepal, and it was definitely something we looked forward to when coming back from a trek. The room was very nice, with a great shower and comfortable bed. Very clean as well.

But it was Raj and his staff that really made the place so great. They were so kind and welcoming. Always offering to help with anything or to give you some tea or juice when you returned to the hotel and of course a happy hello. They'd of course always help to carry luggage up the stairs or to deliver tea to the room. We were lucky to to be staying at the hotel during the Tihar festival, so it was great to see how the staff decorated the hotel for it.

Something that especially stood out was that when we returned from a trek on Thanksgiving day, we opened our room and found a cake with "Happy Thanksgiving" written on it. How thoughtful and touching! And Raj found a place celebrating Thanksgiving with our traditional menu for us to go to (at the New Orleans Cafe, in case anyone is around for Thanksgiving next year).

The wifi worked well for us, the hotel is tastefully decorated, and there is a nice sitting room with the local newspaper downstairs as well as a great place to sit with views of the city on the roof (both shaded and unshaded). The location is nice as it's in a quiet alley away from all the noise and honking, yet really close to all that Thamel has to offer.

We'd definitely come back to this home away from home in a heartbeat. Thanks Raj and team!

Mr Raj, the manager, was responsive and helpful. Ask him for anything! The rooms are clean and good for our young family. Staff is courteous, attentive, and make sure we feel welcomed. Special mention to Nishan for connecting with our young travelers.

Been here a few days now and could not be happier. Staff are very well trained, polite but not intrusive. Room is very generously sized. Breakfasts are everything you need. Raj has been very helpful helping with my plans etc.

One of the finest property in Thamel Kathmandu. We stayed in this hotel for 4 days with our friends and enjoy the top of the world hospitality from the staff and the Manager Mr. Raj Bhandari ji. The room was good in size with cosey beds and clean washroom. We test India. Foods and non veg food in the restaurant and all preparations including the breakfast was awesome. We recommend this property for visitors from India. Thanks for the team Hotel Friends home for this amazing services.

The service and location were amazing at the hotel. The staff was super friendly and helped me whenever I needed assistance with booking excursions, currency exchange, or ordering room service. I felt truly taken care of when I stayed at the hotel. The location is in a quiet neighborhood minutes away from the busy Asan Bazaar and the Kathmandu Durbar Square further south. I will definitely book the hotel next time I visit in the future!

Every single staff here makes you feel at home. We stayed here several times during our two months in Nepal, whenever we had to be in KTM. Each time we came through the door, smiles and welcomes and help with our bags. Just like Home! Rooms are spacious and comfortable, good AC, clean, chairs and table...everything you need. Bathroom has good water pressure and hooks/shelves to place your stuff, clean and roomy. Hot water kettle, bottled water, soap and TP, all those little things that make you feel comfortable. Great food!!! Beautiful rooftop garden where you can eat and drink or just relax and enjoy the fabulous views!Easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Most of all, the owner and staff are just really good people, always doing their best and so nice to be around. This will always be our go-to in KTM.
