Truly value for money. The room was spacious, bright and very comfortable. Hot shower is reliable. The staff really do their best for their guests. Hope to come back the next time I’m in Kathmandu!

In Thamel, finding perfection is challenging, but this place has its advantages: good pricing and a delightful breakfast. The staff is exceptionally friendly. A few upgrades, such as having a kettle in the room and improving internet stability, would enhance the experience. Nonetheless, the location is perfect.

Room was very clean with hot showers and breakfast was provided too. All the hotel staff are very friendly. The location is in the central of Thamel and it is working distance to most attractions.

Extremely comfortable, great location and excellent hospitality. The manager and staff are all very welcoming and helpful and go out of the way to ensure comfort of the guests. We loved our stay there and would definitely recommend for anyone with a budget.

There is a restaurant in the front , you might hear some chit chat and music from there. (Depend on which room you will stay)
You also can hear people talking very loud down stair at night time or even someone drunk’s shouting after clubbing or passing by.
The sound of closing the door/shop/restaurant at night.

We stayed at this hotel they gave us beautiful rooms. Clean bed seat and bathroom. As like the name environment was also friendly home.

Hotel Family Home is definitely the place to stay when visiting Katmandu! 🙌
It is perfectly located in the centre of the city just in the middle of all the cute shopping alleys! Also really close to Durban square and many other attraction.
The hotel has really good, clean rooms with hot water and heater/ac! Also breakfast is included and you eat on the rooftop with a great view over the city. The owner and staff is just so friendly and helpful, they will help you out with everything you need including the tours etc. PS they can book the absolute cheapest Mount Everest fly over from here! 👌

Had a pleasant and happy stay at Hotel family home for five days. The hotel had a friendly manager and very supportive staff. Experienced fast wifi, healthy breakfast and awesome roof top atmosphere. The hotel provided us with all basic amenities in an affordable price. Cheers for hotel family home!

Great place, Great location, Great People!
What a perfect bargain and price/quality value offered! We had a great stay here in centre of Thamel surrounded by nice coffee/bars, shops and restaurants. Litterally in the heart of the city while getting benefits of a quiet environment. Last but not least, breakfast is nice, beds/sheets/towels are very clean also! So, sounds like a pretty great deal here to stay. We'll come back for sure!

Great place where to stay in Kathmandu!! Price is reasonable. Very good and polite staff, clean rooms and bathroom. The owner will help you with everything and can arrange everything (trips, buses, guides, etc). Very nice rooftop restaurant with amazing breakfast (included in price). I would highly recommend staying here!

Nice and clean rooms, central location in Thamel, very friendly and helpful service for a budget price. We felt very looked after and they were always trying to help with any issue, for example storing our luggage during a short trek, with a smile. Also there is a cute terrace on the rooftop with a beautiful view over the city.

We stayed here multiple times during our trip to Nepal, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. The roof top terrace is a great place to forget about the hustle and bustle of Thamel, and the rooms are clean, cool and comfortable. Allround a great experience - much better than the other places we stayed in for a similar price!
