Hotel Potala

They helped me organize everything so I could get back in time for the funeral of a family member. They were beyond helpful and made sure that I was taken care of. I will never forget this. Best staff I ever encountered. Especially the night guard will always have a special place in my heart.

I was there a few nights 5 years ago but still keeping good memories about the place and about Dev, the receptionist that help me with the stay on my first time as backpacker in Nepal.
Sometimes the hotel is quite noisy due to a disco in the same building but if you have any concern with your stay they do they best for making you feel comfortable.
Missing them and the service, best option for staying in Thamel at a pretty adjusted price.

It was my first time in Nepal and I couldn't have asked for somewhere better to stay!
I was picked up from the airport and immediately informed on the local area by my driver
Likewise, staff were very friendly and outgoing, especially Dave! He assisted me and others in getting tracking passes, clothing, flights the list goes on!
Will definitely stay here in the future.

Semi Double Bed with attached washroom, single mirror-1000Nepali Rupee. Perfect.
There is Bar at the top level of the building with Excellent view. Nice arrangement. That bar name is Ombo Lounge and Bar.
Stuff's behaviour was nice. They all are pleasant.

Visited in 2015. In the center of Kathmandu. For the price you cannot expect much but the service was top. I felt sick during my stay and they helped me a lot. Hope to visit again soon

You can find cheaper options in the neighborhood, but 5/5 as the staff was so friendly, the breakfast included was so good, and the area is really central. Do watch out for loud music in the night though.

Owner is Tibetan. Hot water is available. Room is clean and reasonable price and safety hotelmin KTM.

It is located at very famous tourist location Thamel, you will experience the crowds, party, late night music shows, the hotel is very small, yet, neatly built to enjoy the space, they have own restaurant “veg mo mo” food is good, they do have bus bookings service, price is quite expensive because it’s included with service charge, they do have free safety luggage storage if you are intended to come back again, overall good service.

Service was excellent and mainly staff was friendly when i was staying in that hotel. I will definetly recommend my friends to stay.
