Hotel Yala Peak

I stayed here in May for two nights. Right from the moment I arrived I was blown away by their hospitality and graciousness, especially Isha at the front desk.

The hotel was extremely clean and situated in a quiet and peaceful alley off the busy main street, which is very important to come back to after the craziness of Kathmandu.

Great air-conditioning and hot water, and plenty of rooftop and outside spaces to sit in.

Will be definitely staying here again.

Yala Peak was our best accommodation by far in our 3 weeks in Nepal.
Quitely tucked down a side street of Thamel, Yala Peak is a budget hotel that provides 5 star service.
The rooms were great with everything we needed. Very clean although not all rooms were airconditied.
The highlight was the staff. Both from the hotel and from the attached cafe. The best staff we have ever had. The cafe provides delicious food from 7am till 10pm.

Staying at Hotel Yala Peak in Thamel, Kathmandu was great. Staff was very humble and welcoming. Rooms were clean, Hotel has its cafe and open area to enjoy candle light dinner. Over all experience was great. Would like to stay again in Yala Peak.

This place is brilliant and I was happy making it my base while traveling in Nepal

Please bear in mind that this is a budget hotel, but in this league it is ticking all boxes.
First and foremost the staff - all very friendly and helpful (both at the hotel as well as at the excellent restaurant). Great management and/or just great people!
The rooms are basic (some without airconditioning, but with good working fans), but clean with en-suite western style toilets.
There is a quiet and green inner courtyard which is perfect for meals any time of the day.
Their coffee and banana lassi has to be tried!
I was happy to deposit my luggage at the hotel and whatever help you need, the team will try their utmost to make it happen.
An absolutely amazing and peaceful place right in the centre of chaotic Thamel.

We stayed multiple times at Yala Peak and every time we loved it more. The staff greeted us with big smiles and a cup of tea and helped us with everything if we asked! Also the food at Yala Peak Café/Garden is amazing, also great for vegan people. the two waiters that served us each time were super friendly and we always had a great chat with them! Prices are totally reasonable and rooms are also always clean and comfortable. Totally recommend 💕

Yala Peak Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in KTM. The hotel staff is very warm welcoming and extremely friendly. They help you with everything what you need. The restaurant provides you with great food. Rooms are clean and calm although the hotel is in the heart of busy Thamel. I can recommend this hotel a lot - we stayed there many times and we would come again anytime!

I have been here for the first time since then personally I feel it as the most preferable place to dwell in at Thamel.I was truly mesmerized by the Best Hospitality , Service , Environment Friendly and Best price with delicious foods. Among these Waiters Receptionist are serving with smile and politeness like best trained hospitality graduates..

Great hotel and staff. Hotel located in the center of Thamel, so its close to anywhere by walking distance. I was impressed by the staff that very kind and very helpful. Everything is good here.

Yala Hotel make my trip memorable, I don't have enough words to say thnx to all of them , warm welcome from airport and very friendly staff , whatever assistence i required they help me, Good location, quite environment, most important friendly , nice and helpful staff. A breath of fresh air, from the friendly welcome, to the quiet delicious dinner (the location is down a side street), I'be already booked to return. Better service and food than anywhere else I'd been in months of travel through Asia. Thank you!

Everything is very comfortable and clean, the food is very tasty and also fresh. The best part is the staff! Nabraj, Isha and Milan have made the stay here evermore pleasant!!! We have extended our stay every time we come here because the hospitality cannot be beat!! Durga has created a fantastic atmosphere to be comfortable and relaxed in a bustling city.

Loved my time at Hotel Yala Peak. It is in a great locatuon and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. I never had a problem getting hot water either. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also let me store some luggage for a few days when I went out on a trek. The restaurant in the hotel served the best breakfast and also had really tasty lunch and dinner. I recommend staying here.

A calm and cosy place in the center of Thamel, with exceptional service. Stayed here 4 nights and would have stayed more.

It is an extraordinary place to stay in Kathmandu. The hotel is nice and welcoming. The food is great. Has a cafe along with it. The ambiance is amazing. You can also find the rooftop view. Can order food from the cafe from your room. But most importantly the people in this hotel are amazing. They will make you feel like home. Their extraordinary hospitality is what makes this hotel unique. I'll surely try to be back here when I visit again. It was a lovely memory to meet all these people and interact with them during my stay. I'll love to meet them again. I'll always cherish the memory I created while staying in this place. I highly recommend this hotel because the people here are amazing. Hope you all have a nice stay.

Great hotel! The staff is super friendly, the cafe is amazing, good place to work as well.
I was able to leave my stuff for 2 weeks while trekking without issues.
The only thing that I would change is that it is not possible to have a hot shower at night time, but other than that is an amazing place to stay in Kathmandu! Will come back for sure!

Yala hotel was the first place I stayed in Nepal and it was my best experience so far. I love the people there sooooo much. They are so friendly, helpful, cheerful, supportive and patient all the time. And they tried their best to offer the best service to make my stay there happy and comfortable. The staff Isha, Mangal, Milan, Aashish, they were so good to me, always helped me with everything I need. When I was very sick, and Isha accompanied me to see a doctor and Aashish also tried to make Chinese porridge for me. And Mangal boiled water and took it to me, and offered me another blanket. I felt Yala is like my family in Nepal and because of all the lovely people there I met and my stay is so beautiful and warm. And even these lovely people hang out with me to show me the interesting and beautiful places in Kathmandu and made my traveling experience more special and fun. Except the staff there are great, the bosses Durga and Kurmar are also so good. We had nice chat about the hotel, trekking, and Nepal. They are always helpful whenever I need help. And also the food at Yala cafe is wonderful too and I always talked to the co-chef Aashish about the order I was going to have and tell him the requests I had , also asked how he would cook it. And after I finished the food, he also always asked me about the feedback. Yala is the best place I’ve stayed in Kathmandu and I love the people there a lot.

The staff at Yala Peak was very accommodating, they were quick with answers to any questions we had and were always very friendly.
Great value for your money, it's in a tiny alleyway off one of the main roads in Thamel, and the food in the restaurant downstairs is super tasty!
Would definitely stay again

If you're looking for a place to stay in Kathmandu at an affordable price with the best customer service, this place is great, and the cafe down here has the best food with great taste. One of the best things I found here is customer service. I adore this location. Also, they have a roof top where you can sit in comfort. While I am in Kathmandu, I will return to this location.

Hotel Yala Peak has the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. Nothing was an issue, from after hours checkin, to finding and returning my partner’s lost medication. I cannot stress how helpful and kind everyone here is. The location was perfectly situated in Thamel and the included breakfast was delicious (they have great barista coffee too, which we thought we’d have to forgo in Nepal!). If you’re looking for budget accommodation in Thamel I definitely recommend.
