One of the adventurous and tranquil temple visit of my life.
For those planning to visit, you can reach sano phedi/kafle pati by your own vehicle or through shared taxi from Phungling bazar.
From there onwards you need to trek around 2km to thulo phedi.
I would recommend staying a night there.7-8 hotels are available there.
Complete rest of the trip next morning.
Carry something to eat while trekking .
Thulo phedi is the last stop afterwards you won't get anything to buy .

Holy temple dedicated to Devi Pathivhara. Located in the Himalayas with beautiful scenery, view of Mt. Kumbhakarna, Mt. Kanchanjunga and other mountain peak in its surrounding.

Excellent place to visit for pilgrimage, hiking and enjoying the nature. Though precautions are recommended for people with weak body, aged people and childrens.

The view, the atmosphere, the hike, the cold wind, everything feels refreshing and adventurous. Everything faced to get to the temple is well worth the effort.

Points to be noted:
- Vehicles (jeeps) can go upto 'सानो फेदी/तल्लो फेदी'. The hiking part starts from there.

- 'ठुलो फेदी/माथिल्लो फेदी is where the last lodging available to the temple.

- There are porter brothers who provide the service of carrying people and luggages. [Which is extremely helpful when people are not able to climb up/down the stairs themselves]

- People are recommended to not touch any wild plants near the paths as they may cause sickness and allergy to people.

- The path is completely paved with stones to make it easier to walk when it snows.

- There are sheltered benches for taking rests during the hike. They are more frequently placed in steep climbs.

- There are dustbins placed every 50 meters or so. Try to discard the garbage in those bins and keep the environment clean.

A very serene place in the lap of himalayas. You'll get addicted to this place if you get a chance to see this place in clear weather. It feels like there's some divine power of God in this place. But you will have to hike about 1.5 to 3 hours to get here depending on how fast you can move uphill.

Pathibhara Devi Temple stands as a serene testament to divine beauty, nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas. Surrounded by lush greenery and adorned with intricate carvings, the temple emanates an ethereal charm. The sacred atmosphere is heightened by the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant sounds of mountain streams. Pilgrims ascend the pilgrimage route with reverence, soaking in the panoramic vistas that unfold along the way. The temple itself, with its ornate architecture and vibrant colors, exudes a sense of spiritual grace. Devotees find solace in the temple's tranquility, and the view from this sacred site provides a breathtaking panorama of nature's grandeur. As the sun casts its warm glow on the temple, it becomes a beacon of hope and devotion, inviting all to experience the divine embrace of Pathibhara Devi.

Goddess Pathibhara residing in the Pathibhara Temple is a holy pilgrimage of Hindus. Visited recently(early June) pre monsoon season. The path leading to the temple is completely stone paved. From Kaflepati (starting point of the trek), an elevation of 1000m+ needs to be completed to reach the holy temple. There are hotels in the middle(at Thulophedi) where you can spend the night and head upwards early in the morning. The destination(Pathibhara Temple) is so heavenly and surreal that all your pain and difficulties while walking would disappear.

Preferable to visit in Summer and Spring (Chaitra, Baisakh, early Jestha, Asoj, Kartik). Since we visited Jestha end/pre monsoon time, we faced some difficulty due to light rain. Pathibhara Mata ko Jay.

Must go place. Its a long walk uphill but you wont feel tired if you really meant to visit the temple. You get that energy when you start walking. Better to go as a group rather than all alone.

A place of faith of most of the Hindu people. A holy place situated in the top of a hill. A wonderful view point to behold the mighty Kanchanjunga and other Himalayas

Pathibhara Devi Temple is One of the famous religious and pilgrimage site in Province 1, Nepal. It lies in Taplejung district.
It's very popular among Hindu religion people to worship as a goddess who fulfills desires of people.
The good season for visit is after post mansoon and after winter. During winter season, snowfall will give us some difficulties for hiking.
It's a worth visit during your free time. Please visit once when you are in nearby area of that popular and famous pilgrimage place.
Nepalese and west Bengal, Sikkim people come to visit this holy shrine temple a lot.

This temple of Pathibhara Bhagwati is the most famous deity temple of Eastern Nepal. It is at an altitude of about 4000 meters. According to legend, hundreds of years ago, a shepherd there had a dream at night. In the dream Bhagwati said I am at the top of this mountain. You worship me there. The shepherds went to the top of the hill and found an idol of the goddess. It was publicized. Later people started going to see the goddess. This place became famous. I first arrived here 40 years ago. This is my second visit. This time I went with my wife. I had to walk from Suketar Airport. Now the car has reached Kafle Pati, the place to climb for the temple. But the road is bad. It takes 5 hours for a normal person to walk from Kafle Pati. It takes 3 hours to return. A person who walks on time can walk from Taplejung in one day and return to Taplejung at night. Within a few years, it can only be reached by car. Its work has begun. It is difficult to reach here during winter. It is very cold.

Deserves to be in your bucket list!!
The hike from base takes around 4 hours and it's a really tough hike. The altitude makes it a lot more difficult compared to other hikes. But once you are there, you don't feel like leaving. The enchanting beauty of the place will remain in your heart forever. Wow!! Such majestic views of the mountains! One visit of this place is not enough.
By far the best place in Nepal I have ever visited!

It's sacred place, it is believed that we will get what you prey for. 3-5 hr trek from sanophedi is difficult than expected. In winter your trek become much difficult due to snow. Don't forget to take extra shocks , you have to wear under the shoe and over the shoe. .
जय पाथीभरा माता की ।। Enjoy beautiful trek from taplejung.

Pathibhara temple is reached by a steep climb, anywhere from 3 to 5 hours depending on your fitness. The old path has now been replaced by stairs. There are several villages where you can get refreshments during the first half of the climb. At the last village you can get overnight accommodations if you wish to do the final stage early in the morning. You can also hire a car in Taplejung to take you over a rough and bumpy 4WD road to the foot of the mountain.
After a strenuous climb the magnificent view of Kanchenjunga and surrounding mountains unfolds before you, silent, powerful and breathtaking. The pathway to the sacred temple is strung with hundreds of bells. The image of the mountain goddess/Devi resides in the temple.

It took me 2.5 hours from Sanofedhi to reach the temple. Thulo fedhi is the last place to find food and water after that just mountain to climb. Please wear down jackets including warm gloves and cap it is freezing cold at the temple area. Must visit area for mountain lovers. Dont trust the pictures just goo its worth it. The hotels are good enough no need to worry. Route: Sano Fedhi- Thulo Fedhi - Pathiveri temple (3 to 4 hours on average)
