Everest Base Camp trek offers breathtaking views, challenging terrain, and a glimpse into Sherpa culture. Be prepared for altitude sickness and basic accommodations, but the experience is incredibly rewarding for adventurous trekkers.

One of the most amazing place to be…the destination is beautiful and the journey is splendid.

Must go..trek from lukla.
Plan this with some professional group, there are some in Nepal and some in india also. You can find it over internet during season.

Normally good months are April to end of May for trekking.
Before actual trek, try to engage you in some basic fitness activities, will help making the trip fun along with adventure.

Myth buster-: general perception is - this is not for elderly people..trust me it is only 20% your physical strength and rest is psychological.

A mentally tough and physically fit person can do it even at the age of 60…seen people trekking to base camp and celebrating their 60th birthday.

The most unforgettable moments in my entire life. The best of the best trek I've ever done. 18 days getting to the basecamp from Salleri. It was just a ROCK up there. BUT this rock will remind you how hard you hike and teach you how you grateful for all what have you achieved in your life. Be grateful for everything, never complained of anything. Live your Life, Love your Life.

Once you reach the summit, you’ll be calm and would barely feel that the oxygen is less but to be honest, if someone has an issue with the breathing and are not completely fit, shouldn’t try oit this trail. The trail can be really killing with the elevation going more than 5000 metres. Be mentally and physically prepared for the complete trek. Not for beginners for sure.

There are more beautiful, more exciting and more adventurous places in Nepal. But of course, if you are here, you have to go there! It is worth, as always here, to start early to enjoy the view of the surrounding giants (Nuptse, Lotse, Pumori...). Around noon, often in the late morning, very often dense clouds come up.

From Gorak Shep 3.6km, depending on the day and individual conditions 45 minutes or even 4:00 h.

This place is just a marker at the base of Everest,
Just a Big Rock with “Everest Base camp” written on it.
Don’t expect a camp, but the hike to reach here and the views are all worth it

A great experience of trekking in Nepal that too Everest Base camp. We have chosen phaplu-EBC-Lukla route to have more trekking experience and to enjoy the atmosphere/ nature passing through Sherpa villages. We could complete this trek in12 days and enjoyed a lot.

One of the longest treks in the region and one of the amazing treks i have ever done. It's cold it's deserted it's long it's beautiful and met some of the amazing people on this planet. The tea houses are great and so does the local food and soup. Reaching the base was an amazing feeling and one can see the Everest from the base on a clear day. It was a breath taking moment. The route is long but it's worth all the pain and effort. Generally it's not allowed to put a camp and stay at the base camp thought you'll be staying a few km away from the base camp. I think people who do mt Everest are only allowed to stay at base camp but please verify or confirm it

Trekking is Nepal can be life time experience. We have done this treks with in a week.

Original itinerary was fly to Lukla airport (2804 m) which is the the gateway of Everest Base Came trek but due to bad weather we charter the helicopter.

Day one is few hours walk, we reached the Phakiding (2623 m) we supoosed to stay here but our team want to move forward which is not good but we moved forward after few hours walk again and reached to Monjo. Where we stay over night.

Day two continued walking and reached to our next destination Namche Bazar (3440 m). This place is the highlights of EBC trekking where everyone wanderlust. An evening is more fun at the live band musical bar and so on.

Day three we reached to Pangboche (4252 m)

Day four we continued walking to Dingboche (4350 m)

Day five we reached to Lobuje (4930 m)

Day six we reahced to Goraksheep (5170 m) this is the last stop where tea house lodges are availabe. Afternoon we skip our lunch and continued hiking to Kala Patthar (5545 m) and an in evening we reached to our final destination Everest Base Cam (5364 m) and back to Goraksheep for over night.

Day seven fly back to Kathmandu by helicopter.

Note: I request you don't follow this itinerary, due to some reason we did this type of trek which is not acceptable. Mental health is very important rather than physical fitness. We had high profile guest who don't have enough time hence we have to follow the above itinerary. Changes are made on the spot. Usually we suggest every one kindly enjoy your trek extend one or two night in every destination to enjoy your holidays and high altitude acclimatization is very important. Everest can be seen from many places on the way but can't see from the base camp. If you have enough time then i suggest do hike to Kala Phattar next day for wonderful everest view and sun set too.

Accommodation and food is very basic level, try to skip alcohal and meat items. You must eat fresh and hot food and drinks as much water as you can.

We were 2 guests, myself as a trip leader, a trek guide and two potters only in our trip. This is the hard and the best trip so far. It is hard due to change in the itinerary and difficult to fullfill the unexpected demands by the guests like tv to watch championship league lol. Afterall we success this trip with joyful memories into our life.

Hey there, fellow adventurer! Let me take you on an exhilarating journey to the Everest Base Camp. It's the starting point for climbers like us who dare to conquer the world's highest peak, Mount Everest.

Picture this: you're surrounded by the jaw-dropping beauty of the Himalayas in Nepal's Khumbu region. The trek to the base camp is no walk in the park, my friend. It's a challenge that rewards you with mind-blowing views, rugged terrain, and an adrenaline rush like no other.

When you finally make it to the base camp, get ready for an electric atmosphere. Tents, fellow climbers, and expedition teams create a buzzing community. We share stories, experiences, and a passion for mountaineering that bonds us together. Trust me, the camaraderie and spirit among climbers are simply amazing.

Excellent place. The age old abode of moutaineers, adventurists, climbers and nature lovers. But the name should be after it's true original discoverer Dr. RADHANATH SIKDAR and Not after any other person who was NOT even present in country or even not aware of the discovery. Stop DEPRIVING versatile genious Dr. RADHANATH SIKDAR and also SHAMING the name of GEORGE EVEREST as well.

Went for an EBC trek during winter. The trek was moderately challenging with rocky paths and steep slopes / steps. But it was worth the experience!!

There is no snow from Lukla to EBC due to climate change. Global warming is sadly getting too prominent.

though just an overrated piece of vandalised rock. the prayer flags were all blown down at this time. still it’s the journey that counts and this marks the end to the ascending trek and time for descent. of cos this depends on which route you’re embarking on. for me, i came from gokyo and cho la pass and kala patthar, so after ebc, i will be heading back down.

A 12 day trek up to EBC via Gokyo Lakes, then 4 days back down to Lukla. A truly amazing, and very special life event . ❤

Well where to start?

Well let me start by saying how amazing this experience to trek to everest base camp is…. Its due without words, so we went with my friend with no guide or sherpas (I dont suggest anyone to do it unless you know surely what you doing)

Its a demanding trek but very straightforward in where to go and how to do it, just do your due diligence before embarking on such journey.

I promise you will never forget it, and no picture can explain the feeling there.
