Spent an hour looking for the perfect place to stay in Kathmandu and hit the jackpot. Dalai-la is an oasis in the buzzing Thamel district. Both the room and the leafy courtyard has a distinct Nepalese architecture and atmosphere while offering all the amenities you would expect from a 4 star boutique hotel. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Massive breakfast is served at your table in the courtyard and can be tailored your preference such as continental, English, American etc. A well stocked bar is also a welcome addition to wind down after a day around town.

I had an amazing experience at Dalai-La. The staff are so accommodating to every need. It is easily the best hotel with a stunning gallery in Thamel. The beautiful garden is a major plus to relax away from the bustle of Kathmandu!

What a nice place to have a drink and appetizer! Happy hour whoop whoop! It was my friends birthday and they gave us some discount! All of a sudden they surprised her with a cake and lovely nepali scarf! How sweet! :-)

Very relax vibe. In all the action of Thamel district without the noise and traffic. Great food and excellent lodgings. Very reasonable price. Excellent service. I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

My daughter and I just completed a two week stay at the Dalai La Boutique Hotel, and it was wonderful all around. The staff, especially Abhi and the other front desk staff, were outstanding and made sure all of our needs were met. The restaurant and bar provided excellent food and service. The room was comfortable with air conditioning and hot showers. We made use of the well-equipped gym and yoga room as well. The hotel staff assisted us with car travel and made recommendations of places to visit during our stay in Kathmandu. Despite being in the heart of Thamel, the hotel is a quiet oasis, offering outstanding music, and a peaceful, setting to relax after a busy day exploring the city. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Me and my wife had a quick snacks there. We were surprised to see beautiful nature loving hotel. Food was very delicious and i am visiting here again. Best hotel in kathmandu by so far.

I recently spent another fantastic week at The Dalai-La Boutique Hotel. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful - they always ensure that all of my needs are met. They all made my stay very enjoyable. The hotel is a quiet oasis away from the noise and traffic of the busy Thamel streets. Its design and decoration creates a relaxed atmosphere, particularly in the central courtyard, a great place to start the day with an excellent breakfast - the best in Kathmandu. I highly recommend the Tofu Scrambled and the Veggie Omelette. My room was extremely comfortable, a perfect balance between modern and traditional styles. The hotel has a spa, yoga room and a well-equipped gym for anyone who wants to work out or be pampered. It is also easy to explore the neighbourhood as the hotel is in the heart of Thamel.

I can't wait for my next stay at The Dalai-La. It will always be my go to hotel in Kathmandu. A big thank you to Prem and his team for making it feel like home every time I stay there - looking forward to seeing everyone again on my next trip.

What can I say? The staff ist absolutely incredible. The cocktail-happy-hour (buy 2, get one free) is a gift from the heavens and the cheesecake has been the best I ever ate (I'm serious about that one!!). On top, the atmosphere in a quiet backyard is really special - surrounded by flowers and chilly jazz-music. On two occasions we were superbly served by Subash, Sovic, Tenzi and Saroz. Kudos to those four!

I've been to this restaurant twice now and it's amazing! The food is always delicious and the staff is super friendly. It's a great escape from the noise of the city and the ambiance is so calming. If I ever come back to Kathmandu, I'm definitely coming back here.

The transportation was outstanding, the breakfast was so yummy, the authentic italien cousine as well.

Pizza @699 was great. Best pizza in Kathmandu.
The size of pizza was big. It was enough for 2 people and paid just 700 for it.

Regular price was around 1000 but got to know that every Wednesday they sell for only 699 and you can order any toppings veg or non veg.

The place is so beautiful. Very spacious and calm. Loved it.
