Schokkerbos

A lot of mud so have appropriate footwear. Nice to walk around Schokland. There is a nice museum to visit, and some sites to see. A few hours are easily filled. All facilities there. Easy parking, wheelchair access, can immagine you can bring your dog but maybe call in advance.

We came unto this, we think, wolf footprint (pen knife 11 cms). We have read wolves have come through Schokland so well possible. And they're welcome of course.

You can search for a geocache at the harbour.

Amazing nature, beautiful autumn colors, wonderful time to spend.

It's a nice walk around the former island Schokland. Several buildings are stil in place, as is the old harbour of Emmeloord (but hardly any water left). Total length is about 11 km, but the track can be split in several parts.

Laat hier bijna dagelijks onze hond uit. Kies uit het noordelijke deel voor meer uitzicht, de gesteentetuin heeft meer bos en informatie over de geschiedenis en ontstaan van het landschap. Het zuidelijke deel heeft een dunne strook bos met een fijn fietspad.

Mooie plek om naar toe te gaan om lekker te lopen of fietsen. Er is genoeg te zien over de geschiedenis van schokland. Er is ook een mooi museum bij met een goed restaurant waar je lekker buiten en binnen kan zitten.

Leuke plek om de historie te verkennen. Aanrader om het eens te bezoeken. Niet alleen voor u, maar ook voor de kinderen is dit een leerzame plek. Al wandelend door de prachtige natuur leert u de geschiedenis van de plek. De geschiedenis begint in de steentijd en eindigt in het heden. Alle bezienswaardigheden zijn kosteloos te verkennen.

Wat een rust. Nu ben ik er wel op een doordeweekse dag geweest, dus geen idee of het in de weekends ook zo rustig is daar. Prachtige omgeving. Goede koffie bij het bezoekerscentrum. Alleen bleek de verf van het tafeltje buiten ook aan mijn arm te hechten, dus tijd voor een nieuwe verfbeurt.

Das gesamte Land ist Naturschutz Gebiet und ein El Dorado für Vögel beobachtet.
Moore ringsum Grenzen das Land ab.
Auch ein paar Ausgrabungen kann man besichtigen und das alles kostenlos, sogar das Parken. Nur das Museum kostet Eintritt.
Es ist angenehm Ruhig und man hört nur die Vögel oder den Wind.

Een mooi natuurgebied bij het eiland Schokland. Hier kan je wandelen op diverse paden. Je kan hier van de rust genieten.

Mooi museum met veel aandacht voor de archeologie.

Prima stukje natuur dat je beslist moet bezoeken als je toch naar Schokland gaat. Mooi voor een aardige wandeling.
