Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Schiphol, an IHG Hotel

Our room was a disabled access room, and the staff on duty when we arrived did not know there was a large accessible bathroom adjoining that needed unlocking. 24 hours into our stay, we finally had a person come to unlock the door who was shocked to find the room was even there. As a disabled user, the rm was large with the ability to use my wheelchair in the room. The bathroom is of a good size, but we wonder if it has subsided a little since our last stay as the room flooded easily, which for a wet room isn't ideal. Having been in this exact room before, we did notice a few differences, but nothing large enough to stand out. The room could benefit from an easy chair and maybe some drawers for clothing in case of longer stays. Also, an iron and ironing board would be useful. Note there are lots of plugs plus an available room adjoining for a carer. Due to building works next door, earplugs are provided.

Had a great stay here at The Holiday Inn in Hoofddorp, hotel is very clean, staff are really friendly and approachable. Breakfast is fresh and simple.

There is building work going on next door but you honestly can't hear much when inside the hotel. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a cheap stay near the airport and also is only a few minutes walk from a local Train station.

This is the 1st time to visit Netherlands. We booked Holiday Inn-Schipol and the location near by airport. Good room and good service. Also included delicious breakfast. The front desk and manager provide the super supports. Our family have a wonderful trip.

The hotel was amazing. Staff was super friendly and sweet. Breakfast had a great range and very fresh tasting. The rooms were really nice and clean i truly enjoyed being there. Always greeted kindly. The biggest downside but not a deal breaker considering the low price is its about 25 mins away from central amsterdam so uber was expensive. Othwerwise no issues at all

Absolutely lovely staff and facilities. Continental breakfast every morning was well stocked and supplied and absolutely delicious. The croissants were the best thing ever. The rooms were clean and organized and very comfortable. The location was very convenient for what we were doing. The staff at the front desk were absolutely delightful, and lovely, and really took care of us answered all of our questions gave us good tips about where to shop and where to eat, I highly recommend it.

I am hoping that the free shuttle service from and to the airport will return soon. I'll be even happy to pay for a shuttle service rather than booking an expensive taxi fare or walking 15 minutes to an unpleasant pathway to the train station while strolling with a big heavy luggage. Walk path to train station is difficult due to some constructions in the area and unclear directions if you are not using Google Maps. For sure, the shuttle service will increase the number of customers because we always check our accessibility to public transport. The shuttle service was removed a few years ago due to Covid, but I think Covid is not a big hindrance anymore. We can even wear masks if required, just like in trains before. I always admire the quality of service of Holiday Inn Hotels. Rooms are well maintained, the food is good, the hotel is clean, and the room price is reasonable. I have multiple reservations to this hotel again next year, and I am excited to return while I'm in Amsterdam.

Typically great Holiday Inn with friendly helpful staff. Rooms were well equipped. Comfortable temperature and beds. Good breakfast spread. Innovative shuttle service to a local Mexican and a steakhouse that was amazing.

Great hotel, 1 train stop away from the airport. 20 minutes from city centre. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is continental. Rooms are good sized and not very noisy. WiFi could use a little boost but overall working fine.

We had a long break on our flight home and booked this hotel!

Located only 11 minutes walk from the train station and one short, inexpensive train stop to Schipol. The room was very clean and breakfast was good with an extensive selection.

Lovely, quiet hotel. Rooms are clean, bright & quiet. Staff are smiley & helpful. 10 min walk to train station. 20 min walk to restaurants & shops. Food is scrummy. Nothing was too much. Would highly recommend 👍

The staff here was amazing. Our room was clean and bright. The breakfast was done well. There is a lot of construction around the hotel but that doesn't stop the staff from doing their best.

The walk from the train station requires you to drag your suitcase through the mud, as this area is still under constructions and missing sections of footpaths.

Takes ~10 minutes to walk to Hoofddorp from where you can take the train to pretty much everywhere. 1 station away from the airport and has direct line every 15 minutes to Amsterdam Central Station. Have to mention that in the night there are spots with no lights and it can feel like a horror movie but there's nothing to worry.

The breakfast is really good and is served from very early in the morning (iirc 6:00-10:30). Good service. Clean room with a big comfortable bed.

Worth the visit if looking for something near the airport for a couple of days.

Excellent location ! Comfortable and clean. This hotel was only a few stops from the airport by train. Easy to get to and convenient for when you want to go into the city core.

Washroom and bedroom were both up to standards. Friendly staff during check in and check out.

Got a double room and it was awesome. Very clean and spacious room. The shower was awesome and there was a cool blue light! Me and my wife had a disco party in the shower. The receptionist was super nice and even got us a early breakfast the next day because we had to leave before the breakfast officially started. 10/10 would recommend!
