Bij Qunis

We spend an evening with friends here. That was a very nice experience. We chose the 5 course tasting menu with a fitting wine arrangement. The vegetarian wish of my wife was wonderful fulfilled. We enjoyed the amazing atmosphere and the quality of the food and tasteful wine. Well deserved 5 stars. Menekşe and Rene

The restaurant is located in an old steam mill which was used to drain water in order to create land. In case of emergency it can be made operational again. This gives the place a fantastic feel and look. Furthermore, the restaurant has excellent food, friendly staff and a great wine menu.

I had a very pleasant evening at Qunis. The food was great, all flavours well balanced and somewhat exciting. The staff takes good care of you. Vegetarians and people with other "food difficulties" have little problems enjoying a good dinner at Qunis. The price spent was somewhat above what I usually would spend on a dinner but given the exceptional quality of the food and the great location of Qunis I consider it money well spent. I will definitely return at Qunis.

Wonderfully situated in the outskirts of Amsterdam City. Beautifully located in a former pump house. Greatly spacious but still comfortably warm. The service is very friendly and caring. The food is wonderful. Extremely great hospitality value for money.

We had tonight one of the best dinners of our lives. The food the chef invented is fresh, vibrant, full of vegetables, full of taste, colorful and healthy. The amuses (cauliflower three ways and a variety of corn) were an invention in itself. "Please serve these as proper meals", we suggested the great brigade. The starter was a great piece of fish, with tons of 'forgotten vegetables' in unforgettable sauces. The main was smoked red mullet with pearl couscous, leak, and other vegetables . A triumph! The dessert: carrot cake, carrot slices, ginger ice-cream, red berries jelly. Incredible! How a dessert can be sweet and indulging without sugar and cream.
This is an incredible restaurant which serves the best wines, is very friendly and inviting. A great place! One of the best restaurants of Amsterdam.

Amazing! We chose the unseen 3 course menu and loved it. Our wait staff were extremely attentive, and catered to our different needs - to the extent that my husband and I received different main courses. A gorgeous restaurant and highly recommended, particularly if, like us, you've come from Schiphol for a flying visit.

What a special venue, and what a delicious meal! The staff were absolutely kind and friendly and the food and wine were divine. I recommend for a special event or to make any event special.

Our company booked a table in Bij Qunis for a conference social dinner - unfortunately we had to cancel it due to some issues so we haven't had a chance to try the food. Despite that, I must say that the communication with the restaurant was always fantastic and the owners are very polite and friendly people. The process of group booking was really easy and our set menu options were great! It was one of the most communicative restaurants I've ever had to deal with, even though we caused the trouble of last minute group cancellation.

Honest food is the best description of what you can get : fresh, tasty and well balanced !

Excellent food served in a romantic setting by friendly staff. Opted for the surprise 3 course menu and wasn't disappointed. Service was prompt and hardly a wait for food. My third visit to this restaurant and I've yet to have a meal I didn't enjoy.

Restaurant Bij Qunis is located in the old steam pumping station of Lijnden, located close to Amsterdam. This historic building is a very nice place to have either lunches, dinners, meetings, weddings or parties. Food and wine selection are really good (culinary) and also the staff is really friendly. The restaurant has a terrace and has free parking facilities. If you are looking for a bit more upscale place, this is something you would like.

Visited my family in Amsterdam they took me to this restaurant, I loved the design and food was excellent, I was very impressed with the service it felt like a high end restaurant in North America, my wife is vegan and they customized her order to her wishes and she loved the food as well!
Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates a quality restaurant experience!

Tasteful and varied food, also for vegetarians. Nice ambiance in an old pomphouse. Free parking for 50+ cars so great for business dinner near Amsterdam.
