Super Nice hotel.
I had a fantastic business meeting with international delegates at Van der Valk Hotel Houten. The venue was impressive, the arrangements were smooth and with delicious lunch, especially the omelet, was a highlight. The coffee was excellent too! I highly recommend this hotel for your next meeting or event.

Room was fine, bit dusty in places but generally nice and clean. Bathroom was excellent with a nice shower and separate bath. Enough parking, EV chargers are available op P1. On-site restaurant is good for a Van der Valk. Free wifi throughout the building. Breakfast buffet is excellent with good timings.

It's a very nice hotel with good cleaning. The staff was also wonderful and impressed! There are no restaurants or shops in the area, but you can relax. Be careful when staying on Sundays. Buses are not in service. A taxi reservation is required. From the nearest Houten station.

Only stayed for one night in one of their "Comfort Rooms" so do not have much experience but based upon my stay I cannot fault the hotel or staff in any way. My room on the 15th floor and overlooking Utrecht was bright, airy, comfortable and clean with plenty of space for work, large clean bathroom and big comfortable bed. If I nit pick, the bed could have been a little firmer but a hotel bed cannot be to everyone's taste. Both check-in and checkout were quick and efficient despite reception being busy due to a conference when I arrived. The breakfast buffet had plenty of variety, with some cook to order options that a colleague took advantage of and enjoyed. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food and service were both excellent while the prices made it very good value. Despite being English and knowing some German but no Dutch all the staff I spoke to were polite, friendly and had no trouble communicating. I will look to stay here again next time I am in the area.

Loved the friendly service. The food was delicious. I do not recommend a starter if you take a big main since the portions are quite big. The atmosphere was really nice and I had plenty of space between the tables. The sushi although a bit expensive is really good. Lovely experience :)

Very, very nice. Easily better than several five stars I have stayed in elsewhere. Deluxe room is very spacious and appealing, although I dislike two beds joined together as one.

Very comfortable. Very good shower, although it does flood, and whirlpool bath. Coffee machine in room very nice but would benefit from fresh milk and more of it.

Good bar which can be very crowded. Nice restaurant.

Easy cycle from Houten station or short taxi ride. €30 taxi to Utrecht.

This is our go to place for fancy dinners it has lots of food options and lovely hotel upstairs

I've stayed here a few times with work, always a one night stay. I look forward to this hotel because it delivers a comfortable, clean room with great restaurant and efficient check-out. What more do you need?

The room was great. We were in the red honeymoon suite on the 15th floor.
The shower was nice, with a great view over the city.

The balcony had an even better view, though wasn’t fully clean. Considering the size of the balcony, a chair or two would’ve been nice to fully enjoy the view.

As for the whirlpool bath, it was amazing.
It had a number of different colours and the bubbles were great. I do recommand bringing a bath bomb to fully relax in the bath.

There was a minibar, with complimentary drinks and some snacks. An espresso machine and a water boiler were also present here.

As for the downsides, the balcony could’ve been cleaned better. As well as the table stands. There was some cat food on one of them.

The rest of the stay was great. The staff was kind and helpful. It’s an expensive, but luxury hotel.

I have been here for a company meeting and dinner. As I have experienced with another branch of the hotel, this one was a thrill as well. Spacious and well conditioned meeting rooms with well working audiovisual systems, good quality refreshments and delicious food for dinner. I now understand well why our group of companies chooses this hotel chain for our company events.

Great hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms are large, bed very comfortable. My room was on 10th floor, the view was beautiful.

Location of the hotel is really good. Couple of meters from the highway with enough free parking spaces.
We had were looking for a place to work for a couple of hours when a meeting at the client finished early. We were served with coffee with a friendly face in a spacious lobby. Nice athomosphere.

A great place to stay. The room are nice and clean with a big bathroom. As you can aspect of a van der valk hotel.

The hotel restaurant is nice. The amount and quality of the food match the price of it. A great place to eat and a broth selection of dishes.

The staff of the hotel is will to help you and do that with a smile. Good and professional staff

Great food and ambiance. Kids are very welcome and also have a great time while parents enjoy a fine meal. Prices are ok, food is good especially de meat dishes. We skipped dessert so no feedback on that. Parking is free for 5 hours!
