P+R Westraven

A great place that I have been using for some time when traveling to Utrecht by my own car.
I leave my car safely in the parking lot, and I can get to the center of Utrecht quickly by tram, and as part of the great ticket offer, my travel companions can travel with me on the same day. Affordable and well-connected transfer center.
I recommend.

Super useful P&R. Very close from the highway (A12), so you avoid the whole traffic inside the ring. From there, you take a tram and in 10min you are at centraal station. You pay a special P&R ticket and you are able to move around Utrecht very easy and you pay a reduced fee for the parking.

Best option to avoid high parking costs if you want to stay longer at the Utrecht Centre.

There is only one vending machine to bye OV ticket inside the building, so often long lines are formed. You can also buy the tickets at the tram station avoiding the queue 🙂

Very friendly staff, couldn’t have been more helpful. The only thing we found was the parking discount doesn’t apply if you stay more then one day. Still 6 euro’s a day is a very good deal. Very happy.

P&R (Park & Ride) best way to visit the inner city of Utrecht

Parked my car here to visit the city center of Utrecht. It's relatively cheap and you can take the bus to the center. We decided to walk to the center which is an over 1 hour walk alongside the canal. The bus back from the city to the parkinglot was around 2.50eu.

Had a very nice experience here and will definitely use this again in the future.

Signage is very clear and public transport is very close by. Buses and trams are an option from here. Payment together with the p+r option was clear and worked perfectly.

Garage was also clean and seems well monitored by staff inside.

It is a perfect solution for those who visit Utrecht but prefer to save on parking within the city. Do not forget to obtain the ticket for public transport. It is valid for up to 5 persons (2022)

The instructions for how to get the discount are a bit confusing so here's the exact steps we did that worked:

1. Drive in and get the parking ticket from the entrance.

2. On the first floor in the little lobby go to the yellow machine and buy your tram ticket.

3. On the platform scan your tram ticket, the screen will turn green and say "in"

4. On arrival in Utrecht CS scan the ticket again, it should say "uit"

5. When you're going back, scan the ticket on the platform at Utrecht CS, should say "in"

6. At Westraven scan a final time, "uit"

7. In the lobby go to the black parking machine, insert your parking ticket, then select the U-OV option on the screen and scan your tram ticket. If all was done right you'll only pay 2.00 euros!

Perfect option for day trip into Utrecht
Just make sure you scan you parking ticket when using tram otherwise you miss out on the discount for parking. But even if you do, like me, it still a very cheap and convenient option compato to parking in the city

For 5€ you can park there a whole day and you get a free ride ticket too.
I would really recommend to use one of the P+R if you want to visit Utrecht with the car.
It took us probably 15 minutes to get from there to the city :)

Great concept when you want to park your car in a safe place and want to travel to the city center for just a few euro's.

Good location to leave your car and take the bus to the city center, which takes around 15 minutes. If you do it, then the parking costs you only 2 euro. You just can't beat that.

A very affordable and practical park house , 15 mins tram ride to Utrecht central , €5 /day park ticket with printed inclusive tram ticket to Utrecht central station. The trams and busses are right outside the park house making it very easily accessible.

Awesome, park your car for 5 euro's and travel by tram or bus to the heart of Utrecht city.

It's cheap, covered garage to park and fast to the city to have diner or a drink.

This P+R offers cheap parking and connection with public transport to both Uthrect and Nieuwegein. For only 8 euro's a day you can park your car and take up to 4 people along in public transport to the city centre and back. A nice way of habing an afforable day in the otherwise expensive city.

Lots of space. Easy access from and to highway. Easy access to the city center. Instruction to get the discount is now already clear in the building.

Best place to park your car and travel the rest of the day with bus and tram to Utrecht.

If you're looking for a cheaper parking area and accessible for public transport. This is the best for you!
