St. Louis Church

Beautiful church with an amazing community. For international members it offers an English Mass, and for those who enjoy TLM they offer it on Tuesdays.

The Priest is amazing, great homilies and great at supporting life at the parish.

The community and life at the parish as aforementioned is just amazing, with activities for all age ranges and languages such as a Youth Group (for young adults), meets and greets after mass, Sycamore, Lectura Divina, etc.

I'm an big fan of this church! I love to visit the mass on sundays at 10:00. At 17:00 there is even a mass in English!

I will highly recommend this church. Beautiful architecture, devoted and HAPPY Christians as well as many more other advantages. For non Dutch speaking fellow there is a service in English on Sunday from 6 to 7 PM. There is also an “International Rosary Prayer Group” who meet every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Eucharistic adoration is possible every week from Friday to Saturday. It is definitely the church to go if you are an international in Leiden.

Great place. With our two young and noisy kids we can attend mass very close to the altar with just a 'glass wall' in between us in the side chapel and the altar itself. The rest of the church doesn't hear the noise and we hear everything thanks to a sound device. Shouldn't children be close to the Eucharist!?

Pretty church with a great community that is alive and truly lives from prayer, liturgy, and active community.

Great church with weekly English mass at 18:00 on Sundays. Welcoming priest. Lot of english actvities like the rosary group on Mondays & CL on Fridays.

At this church the Holy Mass is proper celebrated and both in English as Dutch.
By the way, there are many young people going to this church!

This church survived the explosion of a ship of gun powder in 1800. It's an interesting touristic attraction, and also the place to be if you are looking for a Catholic mass in English.

Nice bright Catholic church. It offers mass in English every Sunday evening

English mass at 6pm every Sunday, except for the Summer when it'd be closed. Alternative would be the Church of Our Saviour, Den Haag.

كنيسة كاثوليكية رومانية تقع في ستينشور في مدينة ليدن أو لايدن

تم بناء أول كنيسة في هذا المكان عام 1477 وكانت عبارة عن كنيسة صغيرة، كنيسة سانت جيمس، تابعة لدار ضيافة للحجاج في طريقهم إلى سانتياغو دي كومبوستيلا . لذلك تم تخصيص هذه الكنيسة للقديس يعقوب الكبير . تم بناء الواجهة الأمامية للكنيسة عام 1538. وتم بناء البرج، الذي لا يزال يسمى برج سانت جيمس، عام 1594 وتم بناء الجرس الخاص به عام 1598. وتم بيع الكنيسة وبيت الضيافة عام 1547 إلى أبرشية بيترسكيرك. وفي عام 1567 إلى بلدية لايدن . استخدمت بلدية لايدن الكنيسة أولاً لتخزين الحبوب وبعد ذلك لاختبار المنسوجات.

Een levendige kerkgemeenschap met veel jongeren en jonge gezinnen. Kinderen zijn welkom, en dat is echt superfijn als je nog in kleine kinderen zit. Een geweldige pastoor, kaarsen, wierook, een altaar vol misdienaars. Met andere woorden: het Rijke Roomsche Leven kan je hier op en top voelen.

De Sinterklaas- en Kerstmelodieën uit de kerkklokken zijn ieder jaar weer een genot om naar te luisteren.

Covid veilige plaats indeling. Priester en diaken scheppen juiste sfeer voor plechtige viering en gebed.

Ik ben niet in de kerk zelf geweest maar wel in de pastorie naast de kerk.

Mooie kerk.

Als ik dinsdag vrij ben ga ik naar deze kerk voor de Tridentijnse Mis.

Mooie ruimte, waar je echt tot rust kan komen en bemoedigt wordt.
