Vlot Grand Café

Lovely cafe on a boat in one of the canals in Leiden. The whole place is surrounded by water and the seats are very comfortable.

My friend and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and salmon sandwich for each one of us. The portions was good and the bread was perfectly soft. The salmon was fresh and tasted delicious with the mayo sauce.

Luckily at 1pm on a Saturday, we managed to get a table right away. Around 3pm onwards, the place got quite empty.

Vlot Grand Café in Leiden is a total gem!

What a cosy place to have a bite to eat. It is not a large restaurant and floats on the canal. Every once in a while, as a boat goes by, you can feel it rise and fall. In the spring and summer there is an added terras.
The service was quick, friendly and professional. The food was delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Leiden.

I lovely waterside cafe and bar with a floating deck to bask in the spring sun and enjoy a few drinks while soaking in the weather and watching boats passing by. .

It is my favorite cafe in Leiden.
It is located in the city center and on the water, and has both an outside and an inside part. Of course, if there is sun, sitting by the water is great. The inside is not so big but it's worth to go and drink Salted Caramel Latte!! 😍

Nice canal view, clean place with a very friendly staff. And also lunch was not too bad. If you like sharing your meal with the family in a nice Dutch boat, you will enjoy this cafe.

I was here with my other half and just, wow! Very cozy atmosphere, good vibes and the food was really good. I personally had a sandwich with pulled chicken and jalapeños which was delicious!!! Really well presented! Location was also very very well picked on a boat.

Defenitly reccomend this place if you are in town and want a nice place to either just enjoy the view or have a good place to take your date to!

A very nice cafe on the channel. The food is good and the staff friendly. Even if it’s windy outside, you sit very comfortably inside and can still watch the boats passing by.

Very nice place, sandwiches here are AMAZING, service is really really nice and deliver smiles all around. Decoration is nice and the view is spectacular.

5 stars. For the service of the girl who served us on the terrace. She was very friendly and helpful to the customers. I recommend going here on a sunny day to enjoy the sunset. The apple pie and cheesecake were delicious. Congratulations, I would definitely recommend it.

Eat here on Monday lunchtime as a birthday treat. Really tasty lunch (see photo), quick service and a very very attentive waitress - sometimes a little too quick to clear everything so wasn't quite as relaxing as we wanted but still spent a very nice time here.

Great location in the city center and a perfect hide out on a rainy day. All glass covered seating cafe overviewing the canal. Their menu offers small but quite enough selection of small bits, salad, burger ,desert, toasts, breakfast and kunch dishes. We had salmon salad, burata cheese salad,with choclate cake and coffee. All was delicious, service was great, although it did take long to get the salads in.

We went around to enjoy the city and found this beautiful restaurant with view to the canals and boats. The service is fast and good customer service. Highly recommended
