A lovely, modern cafe with friendly, helpful service and outdoor seating overlooking a beautiful fish fountain and Leiden City Hall.

We ordered 2 lattes and they were of the no- nonsese kind of coffee: very Dutch style lattes that had a strong kick of caffeine, creamy notes and a slight, bitter aftertaste. It had no fancy milk art on the foam, no separated layers of milk and latte in the cup and the spoon dropped in the latte like a brick, instead of being held on top of the foam.

It is a cup that tastes like pefection without the frazzles. A great morning cuppa on a Sunday morning to start the day.

And the small piece of square cake complimented the latte nicely

A very fine establishment, very warm and welcoming. It gives a cozy home atmosphere. And the service is great, David especially made the visit memorable. I highly recommend to any tourists like myself in the area!

A lovely little cafe for a bite to eat. Extensive choice of drinks and the warm goat's cheese sandwich with balsamic raisins was superb. Staff also very friendly.

This place is just wonderful. Delicious tapas and the most courteous staff. The garlic prawns are a triumph!! Highly recommended

What a lovely place to sit and relax with family and friends.
I can highly recommend the Lagunitas IPA for the beer lovers.
The tapas food is to die for and served incredibly fast. We ordered the mango salad (wow!), spare ribs and literally the best croquettes we have had in Netherlands so far.

I really liked this place. Its small and laid back. Great place for some casual, yet quality food and drinks with friends. Good beers and food. Great patio area on the canal for sunny days. Food is from 6 - 18 Euro. Which I didn't think was expensive for the quality of the food. I like beef, and the dishes I had the two times we went were both very good. Steak patty and fries $10 one time and steak dinner for $18 the next. Staff was friendly and helpful.

great food and fantastic service

A perfect place to chill out with friends! they open until midnight and have a lot of seating that would be enough for everybody. Menus are extensive but i like the finger foods the most! I also like that they are not as loud as other places at night :)

My husband and I stumbled upon this place during our first week living in Leiden and we've returned several times. It has both inside and outside seating, a great bier selection and a solid menu. The soups are always popular among my crowd while I tend to get the stadhouser sandwich. Delicious!

Cozy bar, good for grabbing a drink

I like this café so much because food and drinks are very good and it's quite an unpretentious place. The favourites: kip saté and ossenhaas. Order fries on the side.

This is by far the greatest place i have been to during my litte trip to Leiden. Originally i am from portugal and we have no such thing as i have seen at the stadthouder. A beautifull place with the greatest bartender and service I have witnessed during my entire stay. What a wonderful time i have experienced and what a wonderful moment i have witnessed.

One of my go-to places to bring friends from out of town for a drink! With both inside and outside seating, a nice beer selection and fantastic cosmos, what more can you ask for?
