This place is way out there. Amazing food, very creative but balanced and full of flavours. Very friendly staff, a young team full of energy. Definitely on their way to 2*

My wife and I dined at "de Leuf" on a Saturday in Feb 2023. This was our fourth visit to this gourmet restaurant (previously Oct 2019, July 2020 and Nov 2021). However, the van de Bunt family has meanwhile fundamentally refurbished the premises to great success and - after a short closure - reopened in Sept 2022 with a new concept.

Service:
The extensive team was very friendly and very obliging. We were welcomed very engaging and firstly directed to the bar, where we had a most remarkabIe welcome-cocktail - which we drank from nothing less than an ascidiate leaf. We liked the atmosphere very much, which we would now describe as professional and attentive.

Food:
The menu was again very carefully planned and arranged. The kitchen still places a certain focus on fish and seafood. The food's style is also still characterized by Asian components and interpretations. We would describe the overall level of the food now as outstanding. We were often quite impressed by the range and depth of the flavors. The kitchen exceeded our expectations in this regard in many cases.

Wine and other beverages:
In my view the wine accompaniment was very good. All wines came from different, mostly European wine growing regions. I would describe the style as modern. All wines were very matching to the dishes. My wife had a pairing of non-alcoholic beverages, which the restaurant now also offers. These beverages turned out to be excellent, elaborately homemade cocktails - which tasted simply wonderful. Impressive.

Presentation:
In our opinion, the presentation of the dishes and components remains really outstanding.
Colors and decorations were always appealing. The textures were always remarkable and often outstanding.
Some nice sculptural elements were presented and positionings were used in many cases as creative expressions. A pretty fake effect and several effects with smoke overflowing the table were shown. No less than three of those otherwise very rare olfactory effects were included.
The timing was very good, the sizes of the dishes were perfect. The service intensity at and around the table remains remarkably high with many changing occupations, often including the kitchen's team and the chef. In some cases, components were added to the dishes at the table. I liked the attunements to the dishes and, if necessary, the explanations of the aromatic composition.
In my view, the presentation of the wines was very good: Always informative and often with nice attunements in a modern style. The presentation of the non-alcoholic beverages was outstanding: All were elaborately arranged at the table with excellent explanations and nice attunements.

Price:
In our opinion, the price-performance ratio was very good overall.

In summary, we would say that the restaurant met our very high expectations with seemingly playful ease and exceeded them in many cases. We were quite impressed by the overall performance. We shall certainly visit de Leuf again.

I have tasted a lot of food in my life but I had never dined at a Michelin star restaurant before, so I didn't know what to expect. Let me tell you it is the single most exquisite culinary experience I've ever had the opportunity to taste in my life.

Wow, what an amazing place!!! This is not one star! This is two stars!!! The greatest food and super awesome staff! Absolutely love it!

Been there a few times alraedy and the rides from Cologne to this place have been my pleasure because I always came home satisfied.

I can not count what I should recommend but even their 'free' chips (a simple piece of a cracker - I'd say with so much Indonesian Touch) are worth to travel for. So please be adventurous enough and enjoy this delicate fine dining. And dont worry to come home hungry. ;-)

The atmosphere is modern and classy. The service is awesome.

The current chef is actually the son of a 2 Michelin Chef who passed aways a few years back whose mother leads the entire crew.

Very creative cuisine. And I mean that in the most positive way. The way the food is presented is really elaborate and the wines served with the dishes are exceptional. We will definitely come back.

Best service, best food and best environment, deserves a 3 star Michelin rating and more. The food is unequaled, original and just perfection!

De verwachtingen waren gezien de lovende verhalen en het mooie familieverhaal hoog, maar zeker waargemaakt!

Het was een prachtige ervaring. Dit restaurant weet hoe een totaalbeleving neergezet moet worden, waarbij alles op ontzettend hoog niveau is: van de binnenkomst en de muziek, tot de vriendelijke, zeer professionele bediening en het waanzinnig mooie interieur, waarvan de foto’s geen recht doen aan de werkelijkheid. Het eten is krachtig, mooi gepresenteerd en onwijs lekker!

Fantastische met z’n 6en geluncht bij De Leuf in Voerendaal (lees in de middle of nowhere) wat een verassing is dit restaurant. Sfeervol bij binnenkomt, uiterst vriendelijk personeel en je kunt aan alles duidelijk merken dat dit een familiebedrijf is. Moeder & dochter in het restaurant en zoon in de keuken. Vanaf binnenkomst is het een beleving. De gedeeltelijk open keuken zorgt dat je meteen enthousiast wordt en nieuwsgierig naar de smaken die straks op je bord liggen. Ieder gerecht was een schilderij vol smaakexplosies die perfect op elkaar afgestemd zijn. Father en son benadrukt het familiekarakter en de spirit. Een aanrader en ook al aan de andere kant van het land, wij komen zeker terug.

Clairement sous-évalué, car il mériterait une deuxième étoile Michelin et un 18 au G&M.

Quelle attention au niveau de l’accueil, puis du service. Quelle qualité et originalité dans les plats avec des inspirations asiatiques : que du bonheur !

Décoration parfaite, tout pour que l’on s’y sente bien.

On a déguster les blancs locaux et ce fut une très belle surprise.

Je recommande vivement cet adresse.

wat een zaak, wat een sfeer, wat een keuken.
we zijn schitterend ontvangen ,aperitief op terras na een amuse aan de toog die je smaakpupillen doen ontploffen.
gekozen om a la carte te eten en geen spijt van.
elk gerecht was een explosie van smaken.
zelfs met aangepaste bieren was dit een streling voor de tong.
bediening was stijlvol, losjes en toch professioneel.
dit vergeten we nooit meer....

Wauw, wat een ervaring is dineren bij de Leuf! Ze hebben een elegante huisstijl met aziatische touch die in alles wordt doorgetrokken. Je wordt er in ondergedompeld. Van de heerlijke geur van hun handdoeken bij binnenkomst, hun elegante bediening, het prachtige interieur, de muziek, de geweldige mocktails, tot aan de magnifieke smaak en presentatie van hun gerechten. Nogmaals: Wauw!

De Leuf neemt je mee op een culinaire wereldreis. Het is indrukwekkend hoe ze de essentie van verschillende aziatische landen kunnen samenvoegen in een paar happen. Hun gerechten zijn kunstwerken met sterke smaken, waarbij alles perfect in balans is.

Het mocktail menu vond ik ook echt een aanrader die de ervaring nog beter maakte. Deze mocktails waren eigenlijk bijna gerechten op zichzelf. Heerlijke smaken en ze gingen perfect samen met het bijbehorende gerecht. Het is op de site wat onduidelijk, maar sommige van deze mocktails kunnen ook als cocktail gemaakt worden (wel tegen een meerprijs). Zeker een tip om ernaar te vragen.

De Leuf is echt een geweldige ervaring en ik raad ze ten zeerste aan. Wel goed voor sparen ;)

Wederom een explosie aan smaken mogen proeven bij De Leuf! Wat een geweldige plek om je zintuigen te prikkelen. Als extra toevoeging zijn de cocktails en mocktails van Michelle een aanrader. Wowww wat kan die dame toveren met dranken en sappen. Een heerlijke plek om elk jaar weer terug te komen. Tot snel!

Geweldige beleving

Wij sluiten ons aan bij de recente review van Leon. Wat een feest om hier te eten en te overnachten. We werden gastvrij ontvangen en elk gerecht was een feest op de tong. Ook de alcoholvrije “wijnen” waren een positieve aanvulling op het menu. Speciaal dank ook voor de gastheer bij het ontbijt. Wat een geweldige mijnheer.

Service was top. Dit restaurant is er in geslaagd om me sprakeloos te krijgen .
3 jaar voordat Eleven Madison de nummer 1 werd heb ik dit voorspeld aan de eigenaar . De Leuf is voor mij volwaardig gelijk aan Eleven Madison . Hun Vader mag met absolute trots uit de hemel op zijn kinderen kijken . Een hele dikke proficiat aan de moeder om het restaurant aan top niveau te brengen . 1 ster is zelfs een belediging . Supertalent , uiterst vriendelijk , een zalige avond die me versteld heeft laten staan . Perse , Bouley , the French Laundry , etc staan ver achter jullie. Nogmaals proficiat
