Hornbach in general is a very good store for in house and not only building tools.
The store is well organized and the employees are ready to help you whenever needed.
I recommend this place!

Everything you need to build/repair your home or garden under one roof. Better selection and cheaper prices than other places. Knowledgeable staff.

If you need practical or detailed advice about something, Hornbach is general is a place to go (Gamma sometimes, forget about Praxis or Karwei, you need to know stuff yourself there). Large selection of well-priced materials for renovation, construction, gardening, etc. Personnel is friendly and helpful, normally there is a go-to person per section like paints, or laminate, or tiles, or wallpaper. They also have paint mixing workshop, with their own brand, as well as Flexa for walls, Sikkens for high end and wood. Most importantly, they have NCS colour palette, which is not available in e.g. Karwei, which also has paint mixing service. Their prices are also often better - e.g. electricity sockets were more than X2 cheaper than in Praxis for exactly same items.

Upd: before Christmas in the garden part you daj buy Christmas trees, decorations and so on

Huge store and great prices. Staff is very helpful without being annoying / fake. They offered to assist me as they saw me watching a map. I was randomly browsing, so appreciated they didn't stick around after saying no thanks. Standing in line to pay one woman (customer) was super inefficient, resulting in one less checkout line. They quickly opened another one. That was just the first time I went here.

I've since been here multiple times. It's telling that this place is often busy while their competitors feel empty.

The only downside is that this place is huge and it can be a bit difficult to find something.

You can buy almost everything you might need for home renovation and a bit of decore.

Customer service, if there is something wrong, is also great, although I almost never need it.

Almost everything I need for my house.

You can literally find anything here! This place is the ultimate place if your looking for more than your basic DIY shop. Has any building material needed. There is also a saw service that is quick and easy. Additionally you can also drive in and pick up the materials directly. Proces were surprisingly low and quality is very good. Gets very busy on Sundays as it is only open 5 hours on that day but we were not inconvenienced at all. They also have self scanning check out.
