Restaurant-café Van den Hogen

A nice place for seafood. Like all the dishes we ordered, especially the mussels. The service was great too. Had requested to expedite our order, and the waiter was really helpful.

It’s a busy restaurant. When I visited the place for lunch, it was packed with people. The server immediately found me a table and in no time I received my order. It was so quick. Highly recommended. Excellent service, good fish, would HIGHLY recommend the Apple pie and ice-cream best I’ve had so far 👌

Actually this is the best of the lot. Price also a bit cheaper compared to other restaurants on the strip. Slightly less crowd due to obstructed seaview.

Food was really really good we ate mussels and cold fish salad, it was fresh and so clean
We tried the Volendam beer, it flavorful

We came in the morning and they only offered apple pie and coffee. Unfortunately and surprisingly, they don't have any non-diary milk, so we were left with espressos. The service was very nice and the place decor and vibe are really cool

We enjoyed it! Vegetable soup, steamed fish, Cassis, fries, salad, potatoes. A complete meal making the experience terrific and memorable. Service was terrific as well.

Lovely place for dinning in Volendam.

Delicious and fresh seafood. We tried grilled fish with pasta and gamba's and fish and chips. It was mouthwatering. We ordered twice. Latte macchiato and hot chocolate was also superb. Will definitely come back. 😁

Spent a pleasant afternoon here! Friendly and polite waiter, the ribs were amazing. The beer was a pleasant recommendation by the waiter, definitely recommending people to visit!

Excellent meal, service and setting. The portions were generous and traditional Dutch as well as elegant cuisine were well blended. The dinners came with four side dishes and the price was surprisingly reasonable.

Super friendly staff. We were late for our reservation but the host didn’t complain at all. Although the restaurant was almost full he still kept the spot for us. He even served a delicious crunchy cheese toast as a appetizer on house! The food was very well prepared and fresh. You can feel the honesty in it.

Fresh Dutch Sea food with amazing ambience and atmosphere

OMG! What a beautiful restaurant we found on a day trip. The food was out of this world. The restaurant was hi-spec clean. The prices were really reasonable for the quality offered. The staff were attentive and extremely helpful. Will definitely return on my next visit to the Netherlands. Worth every star.
