We visited on January 1st 2024 and allowed only 2 1/2 hours. This was the best zoo I ever visited. The employees were very friendly and helpful. We had two small children with us and there was much for them to do and they never got bored. There were many animals to look at and in some cases you were able to get very close. Some animals I had never seen at other zoos. I suggest taking at least five hours for your visit. Overall a very pleasant experience. I recommend this zoo to people of all ages.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful zoos I've ever visited. Almost every enclosure had a little hidden window or cave for kids to get closer and take a good look at the animals. Needless to say, I went into all of them.
It's also much bigger than I had anticipated.

The signs are wonderfully carved out of wood and easy to understand in any language.

It is a non-smoking zoo but does have 2 smoking areas.

It’s always nice to visit the Amersfoort Zoo. Because we went early and it had been raining, we didn’t get to see as many animals or play as much in the slides and bridges, but it’s still a nice day out. In the low season there’s not as many food options but what they have is enough. Everyone is really nice and helpful.

Amersfoort Zoo is an amazing place! The well-maintained enclosures offer a natural habitat for animals. The diverse range of creatures and educational exhibits make it a great family outing. The friendly staff and commitment to conservation add to the experience. Highly recommended!

Very nice place specially to kids and kids at heart… spacious and well maintained.. lication is also easy to find. You can get buy tickets online so you dont need to line atvthe kassa.

Excellent zoo! So much to do for the kids while enjoying the animals in lovely animal friendly environment. The kids and parents :-) can walk across climbing paths above the animals. So cool.

The park is so big and has a wide variety of animals from around the world, and each exhibit is expertly designed to showcase the animals in their natural habitat.
The park is also extremely well-maintained, with clean pathways and exhibits that are clearly labeled with informative signage. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer any questions we had about the animals.
The overall atmosphere of the park is peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful landscaping and plenty of places to sit and take in the sights and sounds of the animals. There are also plenty of food and drink options available throughout the park, making it easy to spend an entire day exploring.

Not the biggest zoo but a must to visit for all children (and their parents 😁). The way the kids can visit certain animals by climbing up, sliding down I've never seen and they love it. In top 2 nice playgrounds and catering prices which are not over the top.

Best place to take your kids. One of the best zoo’s I have been to in Netherlands. We have already been to this place like 3 times already. The animals were very active during this period. Looks out for korting code (discount coupons) online before booking your tickets on the official zoo website. You always end up getting 15-30% discount. The food options are plenty. Summer is good time to visit.

A very good experience! The zoo is not large, easily done in one day with long breaks for play in 2 great playgrounds and smaller breaks for food and more play. The animals seem happy, healthy and well taken care of and we met some absolutely lovely staff who patiently and with great English explained to us about the inhabitants of the zoo. Highly recommended, especially with kids!

A really nice park, nice to walk through and there is enough to see and do to fill an afternoon. Food is fairly priced and employees are very nice and helpful.

Beautiful zoo with lots of attractions and activities for kids and adults! We really like how they have blended the animals with playground activities; you have to climb and play in order to see their homes! Highly recommended! Horeca was not sufficient though..

Best zoo I have ever been to. The animals are kept in modern large enclosures and there are a number of playgrounds. My daughter and I visit about at least once a month and will continue to go for many years to come.

What a place. It is fantastic half a day (at least) attraction for your familly. Compared to traditional zoo, these one is more animal friendly, larger cages area, and creative ways to feel as part od the wild. At the top corner, there is a dinosaurus section (unfortunatelly now closed for renovation). It also has pleny of playgrounds for kids, so it is perfect weeekend visit. For me, the price was a bit high (26eur per person - or ~100eur for whole familly) but that is because I am a tourist, and not a Dutch....

One of the good Animal parks in Netherlands. A good spot for a day outing. The area is huge. It has a great variety of animals. This park is specially designed for kids with slides all over, lot of play activities. They will enjoy to the fullest.

I usually am not keen on zoos, as animals should be in the wild, but this zoo is fantastic. Animals are bred there,then moved to larger zoos when they are bigger, so that they do not become extinct. You can easily spend a whole day here, lots of happy animals and play areas. All the staff we spoke to were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. I cannot recommend this zoo enough. Thinking about getting a season ticket, it really was that good.

A very nice zoo with awesome “natural fences”. we immediately bought year passes for the entire family to visit often. The playgrounds are also very fun. Kids love the hidden places where they can explore everything. Food is good especially the sandwiches and fair prices. The animals are all looking very healthy and happy

Great zoo to visit . Lovely staff , Animals seem happy, and the zoo itself has amazing architecture and is easy to navigate. It also has a beautiful vibe .

Highly recommend visiting it with kids especially as there is lit of fun tracks and slides for them .

Great zoo for kids. Clean, lots of well taken care animals. The play ground is big and quite safe. Lots of little sliding tunnels and my boy love it
