Restaurant Lauwersmeer Het Raadsel van de Wadden

What a lucky find! My friends and I were planning to stay the night close to Lauwersmeer Dark Sky park and wanted to have a nice dinner before walking to the park, we decided to make a reservation here and we’re definitely happy we did, the food was delicious, we had two ossenhaas, one saté chicken and fish, everything was delicious and then deserts, I was skeptical about cheesecake paired with cinnamon ice cream but not only was good, it was spectacular!!! Loved it! And the staff? Just the best part of the experience, everyone was lovely, our waiter was super sweet and chatty, we all loved him. I can’t recommend this place enough, if I’m the area again, I’ll definitely have another amazing meal here.

We enjoyed our lunch and coffee a lot. The self made kibblings were delicious as well as the salted caramel macchiato. Thanks to the friendly waiter! A big plus for families: there are board games and others for young and older ones.

Huge menu, great view. Waiters are a bit on the slow side but we were not in any rush to leave, so that was fine for this evening. Loved the little fireplace, great place for our date night quality time. Thanks so much!

We had a lovely dinner here. The place is cozy, food (tourdonos and sea bass) is great. Dessert is great and has a nice surprising twist. Service is warm and welcoming. Really recommend!

Nice harbor restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. Dishes have local ingredients such as fish, mustard soup, local beef, beers from the tap… Service is excellent.

The entire experience with Jachthaven Lauwersmeer has been exceptionally good! I left my boat in the Marina about 3 months ago and have been very happy with my choice. The owner Ron is a really knowledgeable and helpful person that knows how to run a Jachthaven. Also his hard-working employee Mario helped me on a stormy & rainy Sunday afternoon, when I had issues with the boat in the middle of the Lauwersmeer. You can even borrow and use tools from the workshop area. The facilities are always clean and everything works! With regards to food and coffee, the restaurant deserves five stars as well, make sure you book ahead on the weekends.

If I wouldn't live 4 hours away (in Hamburg), I would keep the boat there forever!

If you are in Friesland around Esonstad this restaurant is 💯 a must visit. Very good portion for a reasonable price and very very delicious.

The place is so charming with a beautiful terrace overlooking the marina. The cuisine is so delicious. We had the sunfish. Mmm what a treat ! Le service est très accueillant. We highly recommend this place :-)
