Landal Waterpark Esonstad

Stayed at the campsite in September, now resided in an apartment. Enjoyed our stay, despite the lousy weather :-) thanks to the nice apartment, friendly and attentive staff and the great indoor swimming pool. And we do love the fact that cars are not allowed in this artificial town. Only downside; very limited opening times of e.g. the restaurant facilities but partly compensated by the onsite shop which was open in the mornings and provided e.g. nice bread. Yes, I do realize it costs a lot to open facilities in these quiet weeks...

Unique vacation park in village setting. My family stayed in a 4 person luxe house and it was very clean, well decorated with everything you need. Lots of outdoor and indoor playground spaces for children. Even though it was during summer school holidays it did not feel that busy. Staff was friendly throughout the park. The restaurant food quality was okay though convenient they are there. Nice to have ice cream options after dinner. Park shop was also handy for drinks, snacks and breakfast items and found prices comparable to Amsterdam. Can recommend for a long weekend.

We've visited this Landal park for the second time last weekend. Nice little old style village. Spacious little houses with multiple floors. Have everything you need. Like it that it's car free. Place is a bit dull at night. I guess it will be more lively during the summer. Swimming pool in perfect shape yet a bit boring. Just a little slide would already spice up the place. Sauna is nice, steam room not really steamy and a bit smelly. Indoor playground is awesome. Outdoor water trail is nice. Wished they would have a few more guided activities for kids. Pity too that the handicrafts are all paid. Many things that need reservations run full very fast, i.e. the inflatable balls in the swimming pool, the boat to Schiermonnikoog, so think ahead of your visit, look at the schedule in their app and book on time. Staff is friendly. It amazed us a bit that they're still working with old fashioned keys to access the house and swimming pool. Hardly ever still see that at vacation parks.

Big free parking lot within minutes walking to the houses. It has 6 EV chargers available. These are often occupied though.

We had a lovely week's stay here. Lovely location and the accommodation is different to other Landal Greenparks in that these are real houses, not bungalows, so you get so much more space. It feels like a proper home from home. The park is built like a real village and has a really charming feel. Nice walks, fun pitch and putt and the ferry to Schiermonnikoog was really handy and a great day out. Highly recommended!

Houses are spacious, clean, well equipped and there’s a lot of entertainment for the kids like the indoor pool and the indoor playground as well as outdoor playgrounds, tennis court. Recommend it!

Little bit secluded location and a great place for a short getaway with friends. The park has an excellent pizzeria and a large indoor swimming pool. I can recommend to visit Dokkum with the historic city center and hiking in Lauwersoog as well, although the surrounding area is flat and far from spectacular 😉

Spent a weekend in this nice vakantie park. Good place with plenty amusement options to keep you entertained. A good place for family and kids who are looking for some peace and quiet from city.

Amazing rental houses built as a traditional Dutch village with a town square, cafe, local store, bakery, restaurants etc. Great with kids as there's loads to do incl indoor playground and pool and Bollo the Bear activity center.

Very nice vakantie park. Very big area with different types of houses. Some of them have sauna and balkony...Most of them have view on a river or pond. Some house are built exactly like old Dutch houses which is very nice I think. You can rent electro bikes and other stuff. Golf field and swimming pool were closed when we visited this place in February...The house was clean and well maintained so we enjoyed our staying there and I think will come again in summer 🙂

In my eyes one of the nicest parks in the Netherlands. Beautiful and luxury houses. Very nice environment. Fun entertainment building for kids.

Clean, cosy, tranquil place to recharge batteries or spend some good quality family time. Very child friendly. Good place for bird lovers. Lots of pitoresque little towns nearby.

Need warm weather to amuse outside. Lots of facilities to entertain with children

Nice Landal with real houses. Swimming pool is larger than many others. Mind it is on the coast and tempratures are lower than more inland.
