We visited this charming little traditional cafe, tea room twice on our trip in Netherlands!!!The most delicious poffertjes we have ever eaten!!!!!Also the most delicious apple pie!!! And the cake and the tea!!You have many teas on your table to choose and make your own tea!!!!The couple is kind and smiling!!!The village and its history enchanted us. It was a fishing village that was hit by a great disaster. The life of the fishermen as well as the women here, in those years was hard. The museum is an ideal place to learn the history of this place!!! In the late afternoon we saw the sunset. A place that everything contributed to loving it!!! we want to come again!!!

We were welcomed in such a cosy / authentic Friesian hut, enjoyed the warmth with good coffee and the best Poffertjes I've had so far. The lady running the shop is friendly and sweet!

Absolutely perfect coffee break. A piece of warm homemade apple pie with whipped cream.
Accompanied by a good, fresh brewed cup of coffee.
Furthermore Syke-muoi kofje & tee drinkerij is a lovely place to hangout after a long hilking.

Sind heute nach einem Spaziergang am Meer auf dieses nette Kaffee gestoßen. Der heiße Kakao und das Gebäck war super lecker! Es war auch total gut, dass die Toilette offen war, was zu dieser Zeit ja schon echt ein Wunder ist. Ich habe mir den Ort auf jeden Fall gespeichert!

Heerlijk om heen te fietsen, Moddergat te genieten en dan hier wat te consumeren. Aardig ontvangen en prettige sfeer.

Ganz gemütliches Cafe gleich hinterm Deich. Ein echter Tipp. Leckerer selbst gebackener Kuchen und Kuchen. Den Tee gibt es als Gedeck. Zahlen kann man natürlich auch per EC.

Heerlijk kopje koffie, thee en oranje koek genuttigd. De oranje koek smaakte heerlijk, evenals de koffie. De thee kun je zelf kiezen uit 8 smaken door losse thee in een zakje te doen. Voor de prijs hoef je het ook niet te laten.

About Moddergat
Village in the Netherlands

Moddergat is a fishing village in Noardeast-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 221 in January 2017. Before 2019, the village was part of the Dongeradeel municipality. The name of the village means 'mud hole' in Dutch and in West Frisian. Moddergat is twinned with Peazens, and they are often referred to as "Peazens-Moddergat". In 1883, 17 of the 22 ships of Moddergat were lost at sea during a storm killing 83 fishermen. In 1958, a monument was placed on the sea dike in their honour. In 2004, NCRV television organized a competition for most beautiful place in the Netherlands. Moddergat came in second after Weerribben-Wieden National Park. source
