Attention Meat-lovers: This is a great place for a 'borrel' or dinner!

The Black Fox has made it's mark in Nijmegen with it's high quality meat and being a combination of restaurant and butchery.
If you like a specific cut of meat you just ate, you can buy the (raw) product right next door in their butchery!

The Black Fox specializes in Dry Aged meats. The rest of their menu however is also standing strong with big flavours and mouth-watering fattiness.

One thing that does surprise me, is that there is not much variety in their menu. The menu is only 2 pages and choice is limited. I would have expected a restaurant with it's own butchery to also have some sausages or other grilled meats on their menu.

Nevertheless, the quality of the food and service are two big reasons to drop by.

Nice restaurant, good service. We came here and the terras was full. We asked for a place outside and after one drink inside a tablet was available which the staff reserved. Excellent selection meat where the owner takes pride in the quality. I had a beet from the local brewery ( de Hemel).
Restaurant is located on a square next to the "Castle". Recommended to have diner here.

What an amazing place. We had the 'Full Monty" 4-course menu combined with a beautiful red wine and a whiskey tasting to close off the evening. From the tasty meat with excellent preparation to the very hospitable staff or the explanation of the origin of the whiskeys, everything was absolutely fantastic. My group of 11 hungry meat loving guys were all very enthusiastic. It was the best meat I've ever had. Definitely worth a visit!

We visited the restaurant on a Friday night and it was completely packed. I recommend making a reservation in advance.
The atmosphere is quite unique, the theme of the restaurant is a butcher and meat is the main focus. They also serve fish and vegan options. I had a great hamburger with a tasting of different sauces which was very exciting.

Loved every bite. The meat was very special. The staff were great. It was so good our plates were eaten clean. The food was cheaper than expected. We will be going again in the future.

Good location in the city of Nijmegen. The food was good and the dry aged cotê de boeuf was definitely a recommendation to try-out and worth the money. Also had the steak tartare which tasted amazing! Having diner at this location could be pricey, but definitely worth it in my opinion!

Incredible! I finally ate a marvelous hamburger in the Netherlands. I trully didn't expect that. I wished they were in Apeldoorn but I do think is worth traveling to Nijmegen just to go there. I could visit their kitchen and everything was clean... So nice to see and of course, even better to eat. Congrats The Black Fox team!

Amazing food, excellent staff and the ambience suits the concept very well! Overall a good experience and definitely a must do!

Zelfs als niet echte vleeseters heb ik hier heerlijk gegeten met een vriendin. De zalm ceviche was heerlijk en de oesters ook. En lekkere gin tonics! :) Goede bediening die bij elk gerecht vertellen wat het is. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Heerlijk gegeten! Zowel de verschillende soorten vlees als de bijgerechten zijn heerlijk klaargemaakt. Het personeel is erg behulpzaam en enthousiast. Zeker een plek om nog eens terug te komen.

Echt mega heerlijk gegeten. De Tomahawk voor 2 personen. Een feestje was het. We komen graag terug voor de Porterhouse de volgende keer! Een mega aanrader zowel qua bediening als eten !!!
