Parnassia aan Zee

We enjoyed Latte Macchiato and an amazing apple pie here at this very cozy place. Staff was extremely quick and attentive. Apple tart not from this earth! The ambiente is busy but nice, with little birds flying around and chirping; a fire burning inside. Highly recommended!!

When I booked my flight home from Europe out of Amsterdam and knew I would be staying with a dear friend who lives there, it never occurred to me that my visit would include a trip to the beach, but my friend had recently adopted a lovely German Shepherd who needs lots of daily exercise. The drive from Amsterdam through the countryside and small Dutch towns was lovely. I finally got to see Haarlem for which Harlem, NY was named. The weather at the beach was cold and windy (see image of me bundled up), but the skies were clear and the sun was shining. The dog and her humans all had a lovely day.

The restaurant is located at a truly beautiful spot! Just around the corner there’s a wide beach with an amazing view of the sea! Prices are really reasonable, a renovation is on the way right now as you can see from the pictures. I’m pleased I found out about this place. When drinking tee or just having lunch you can stare at this amazing, breathtaking scenery this place has to offer.

In summer one of the best place to have beer and watch sunset.

We hired bikes and had a lovely ride along the shore. On the way we discovered this beautiful park and sand dunes

Amazing place to visit in the Netherlands on a bright sunny day

We had drinks and dinner; both were delicious and served quickly. Friendly staff and a beautiful location; away from the busy are of Bloemendaal aan/Zandvoort.

My favorite beach! It's a beach for dogs, but it gives me so much peace seeing the dogs running around.. (I don't have a dog)

Such a great experience here, we ordered the calamari and the fish & chips, both were outstanding. Great batter, cooked perfectly. Also the service was pretty quick.

Cash is not accepted but this is becoming the norm nowadays, so no problem.

Great place! Every weekend we go with our dog where she can freely run. Since there are only families and dog owners, it seems that everybody is fine around that many dogs and their crazy running everywhere :D there are horses and people biking on the beach as well. You can get a coffee and muffin at the cafe and start your beach walk :) we love it!

Loved the Parnassia Plank (mixed 'borrel' platter, my personal highlight was the mackerel salad), local beers and the friendly and speedy service.
This is a busy touristy place, but the still have fast service and very good quality food.
If you just want something on the go there is also a kiosk.
Recommended!!

Worlds best toasty in a brilliant location

A nice stopover after having a good time at the beach. Welcoming, smiling and friendly staff + pet friendly.

Great day by the sea and great beach location. Service is friendly and fast (restaurant was not quite full on our visit). The food (burgers and fish & chips) was good, the prices fair. The manager, Kay, is a crazy guy and super helpful, thanks again.
