AFAS stadium

I don't go to matches very often, but I really like how close the field felt to where we were sitting. Great atmosphere too!

Loved our time there. We sent an email to the team to help us get tickets for the game AZ - Groningen. They replied immediately and the tickets were at a good price, €26! The stadium is really beautiful, clean and modern. It even has xbox for the kids. We were able to walk near the pitch before the game started.

I went here for the Europa Conference League match of AZ Alkmaar against FK Tuzla City on July 21th 2022. It was well organised. You can get food and drinks at a shop and the seats were clean. Overall a great experience.

The atmosphere at the game vs Hereenveen was mental. The food is also really good. When you get there about an hour before, it's easy to get in. Also, it's just a great looking stadium itself.

Recently visited this stadium and was blown away by the incredible business class view. Panoramic view of the stadium was truly stunning and added extra crisp of the games I watched there. The seating was comfortable. Playing field was in top-notch condition. Bar offered great deal of drinks and tasty foods. Overall, I recommend this stadium for unforgettable sports experience!

Whats not to love about AZs home ground

Attended a game here in August 2015, Europa League Qualifier v Astra. AZ won 2-0 and the atmosphere was fantastic, despite there only being 5000 or so there. Great facilities too. The shuttle bus from the train station and back was brilliant.

Super service. Wheelchair friendly and the staff was awesome and professional. Will return. And oh yes it was open bar that night in the rest moment with drinks in a real glass. :)

Loved it but catering is poor and unnecessarily complicated to purchase. Cards and cash have to be converted to an AZ card before you can purchase food and drink. No refunds on card balance when you leave stadium.

Great stadium easy to locate access with good transport links

Superb place with friendly people, reasonable pricing and a welcoming vibe

It is a modern stadium (2006), flirty, nice and well structured. It has an office shape and has colors like red, black and white. It is surrounded by several canals and in spring it obtains precious contrasts by the tulips that are born in the surroundings. It has a capacity of around 17,000 spectators and is the home of Az Alkmaar team that is currently playing Uefa competition.
