Berkenhof Tropical Zoo

This was a bit of a surprise! I thought it would be a small activity, with a few tropical animals, but it was actually far more extensive and fun. Well worth the money as the zoo is lovely but you can also explore a dinosaur area, before going through to a splash area.

The splash area is really superb, with little rivers winding through, climbing frames running along overhead and lots of water play equipment. I would pay good money to have a water play activity of this quality near me in the UK, and this one is just hidden away in a zoo that we would probably not have visited was it not a rainy day!

I loved it, it's a fantastic space like a mini hidden jungle. If you have children, it is a great choice to spend the day with several parks and activities for children.

A very wonderful place, beautifully organized, a place that is not big, but you can have a fun-filled time in it. I highly recommend it.

Nice place for kids to spend a few hours. This place has a small tropical zoo, with some animals. Some dino fossils, also some model dinos. There's a nice tropical setup play area for kids and outdoor play waterplay area. A mini golf(extra payment) Restaurant inside is nice, freshly made meals and snacks, with a lot of outdoor seating.

Above and beyond my expectations. Very suitable for toddlers. Great mix of real animals, Dinosaurs and a super nice jungle playground. Worth every penny. Our kids were entertained for almost 4h.

Very nice for kids with a surprisingly large collection of fossils and prehistoric artefacts. You can easily stay here the whole day. Even with nice weather.

A very pleasant, small-scale, very well kept and family-friendly parc. The wet jungle playground and the dino section are my kids favourate. Since our first visit a few years ago, we've been back each year when we are in Holland.

Very nice place. My childern had a lof of fun there. Many different animals to discover, like snakes, butterflies and apes. Beautiful flowers and plants and a great playground as well.

A small zoo focused on tropical animals. There is enough entertainment for the kids, and the best part is that the kids are allowed to touch a snake !

Surprisingly fun. The kids where especially happy to play in the water inside and outside. Take a set of dry clothes with you.

Fantastic to visit with children of all ages. There are so many different things to look at, butterflies, birds, lizards, dinosaurs. Friendly staff showed us stick insects, caterpillars and frogs free roaming and holding them as well as many animals in their enclosures. Great sandy themed adventure play around the water. Prices for drinks are fine, we brought our own sandwichses and that was okay too.

This place is heaven ! We and the kids enjoyed it so much. It was so beautiful and we learned alot ? So much to do for the kids. If you want a fun day with the kids I recommend this greatly

A wonderfull place to watch and photograph butterflies, but also numerous reptiles, amphibians and spiders.
Next to a truely nice archeology-park with real fosils and life size dinosaur-replicas there's also an indoor waterplaypark for kids and an outdoor playground. At set times there are nature-classes where kids can learn about particular animals from the caregivers and have theire picture taken holding snakes, spiders or bearded agames.
The restaurant is also really okey. The staff is really polite and helpfull.
Entrance fee (€10 for kids, €11 for adults) is very well worth it! Great place to take the kids, but also truely interesting fot adults!

Small but cute butterfly (+ other small animals) zoo and Dino exhibition. Fantastic indoor and outdoor playground. Lots of water in the indoor playground, be prepared and bring a change of clothes/swimsuits for kids

Very nice (indoor) zoo. Lots of different animals and lots of information about the animals. Nice playground (Kids Zoo) for the kids, where they can play for hours.
