Trattoria Italiana City Hall

We popped in here late on a Sunday evening. It was still fairly busy, but the staff were quick and friendly, and most importantly, the pizzas were lovely. I had the burrata pizza - the first time I've had this - and it did not disappoint.

I’ve been here for many times and I always left satisfied. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend the pumpkin soup.

Beautiful building, good location. Was helped by friendly staff. Had the pollo focaccia which was delicious and reasonably priced.

We ordered arancini, calamari, truffle pasta and venison stew pasta. We also ordered cannoli, unfortunately it wasn’t up to our taste but the rest was very very good! I thought the truffle pasta would be too heavy, considering I ordered the larger portion, but they were perfect. All the pasta were made fresh on the day and you can really taste that! Arancini was amazing, so were the calamari! The venison stew pasta was not my favorite but that is only because I’m not a big fan of venison, but my boyfriend did really enjoy it! The waitresses were also very knowledgeable and attentive, very very kind and explains things very patiently and thoroughly. Would def be back!

Had a wonderful family lunch here on King's day. Despite the crowds, service was surprisingly friendly and attentive. Pizzas and tiramisu were the highlights, definitely recommend them.

Great place, nice atmosphere inside and good food and service. Had the rigatone al forno and it was a good portion size and very tasty, the affogato for desert was also lovely.

Server (Joost? I think?) was attentive and helpful, never had to wait long or try hard to signal for him, so wonderful experience all around.

It was a great and chill experience at the Trattoria Italiana City hall. They were very kind and the food and drinks came pretty fast.

Nice staff, nice food, the best risotto I eat in all my life. Prices in according with the quality and quantity. Amazing restaurant

They have a lot to offer on their menu. Everything I have ordered so far has been so good. My husband and other family members went for pizza. Their comments were the dough which ch most times is too crispy till it’s tough wasn’t. Italian bar-bistro’s pizzas are moist and full of flavor

Last time we were there it was my daughter’s seventh birthday. She mentioned it to the waitress casually and before we knew it at dessert time they brought her a surprise. She wants to go back there again, of course! 😊.

Staff members are so accommodating and friendly with children. They have feeding stools and offer a great enough selection for the kids including portions ✅✅

For us it’s a favorite in the city! We can have an early dinner all of us and walk back home swiftly full and content 😊

Excellent food and great wine. Had vegiterian pizza and one of the best versions of tiramisu I've ever had. Location is super beatiful, right in the center of Leiden, and the restaurant has seating both outdoors and indoors. Super helpful staff who taught me how to properlly eat Baratta on pizza! :)

Right in the middle of the town this place has amazing food. We ordered the Foccacia and the Tagliatelle with truffle. We ordered wine as shown in the picture. Great place must have a meal. Didn’t try anything else, but will come back if we can.

Friendly and professional staff. The food was lovely and flavours were nicely balanced.

Recommended. I have been here several times and service is friendly. There are not many pizza's to choose from and they are priced above average, but they are so good! Well made, with a nice balance in their ingredients and different than the standard stuff you can get elsewhere/everywhere.

Excellent Italian bar for a wide range of plates. Recommended for groups, can arrange seperate menu with salads, pasta pizza... so you can make your night as an Italian food feast .. Highly recommended.

After a bad experience they invited us to have free lunch and they also gave us free drinks on the house. The food was good and they were very friendly. They made it up to us!

The staff was very friendly and talkative. Unfortunately that is the only positive thing I can write about our evening out: everything went wrong. They gave us the wrong wine (2 bottles, but solved the issue later), made us wait more than 2.5 hours for 2 dishes, only to hear afterwards that our desert was not going to come because, we didn't order a full menu, according to the previous waiter whose shift had ended. They didn't bring cutlery or even plates or napkins, we had to go and ask them. They informed us that there were problems on the kitchen. Well clearly because the dishes were not good either: pizza was sloppy, pasta was way too salty. The apetizer platter was good.
