I have just returned from a one night stay here after visiting my son.
What a lovely place :) it's not the best area right now as much building work going on in the area which isn't the hotel at fault at all.
It's a bit in the middle of nowhere and the location isn't the finest building on one side and busy road and rail on the other.
But my daughter in law says about 10/15 minutes walk away it has some lovely areas. So if you have time to explore or hire a bike from the hotel i believe it was just 8€ an hour to start more savings the longer you take? I didn't myself so i just had a quick look about.
It's very local to train and bus routes and half hour you can be back in Amsterdam so nicely located and not fair from airport.
The staff was lovely and welcoming and made you feel very at home, the breakfast was amazing so much choice.
This was my first trip away from the UK in 53 years of life so i was very impressed, I'm no stranger to hotels tho and on the budget price range i paid (£70 each room i believe) then the tourist tax which was like £4 i think.
For that price it was really good nice clean rooms and lovely breakfast with so much choice.
Not sure if it's normal in other European hotels but not in the UK you can make your own waffles.
Anyway that's for you to find out if you book.
Rooms have hairdryer and toiletries, iron, ironing board and kettle, fair sized TV and a very good selection of towels and wash cloths.
Our rooms was the queen and come with desk and chair, extra chair and stool and the bed so many places to sit.
Oh and safe which i had no idea for.
And Your standard tea/coffee selection but being English not having milk was strange as no one in my family drinks black tea.
You want a English tea remember you need milk haha

The biggest and only fault i have and the reason i wouldn't stay again :(
The bed
Horrendous
It would be more comfy on the floor it's so so hard, if you jumped on it you would hurt yourself.
It's maybe the hardest of anything i slept on and i actually didn't sleep.
I'm a large lady so i thought my weight would of made an impact but no, hubby small and he was in agony the next day and my brother average sized and he also had a very bad night.
Lucky we had painkillers as we all needed them.
it's rather sad as this works be my perfect choice each visit but i couldn't sleep on that bed again :(
And the pillows are total opposites they are so soft even with two your head is on the mattress so that's the let down for me.
If you like ultra hard firm mattresses you will have no issues and i think you will absolutely love all of it.

As i say if it wasn't for the bed it would be my regular place now on visiting as the rest was outstanding.
Thank you for a welcoming and very friendly visit.

Great Location. Easy access via the local train service. Short ride to Airport and also ideal for a short city break if not wanting to stay in Amsterdam Central. Breakfast fresh and sufficient. Would come back.

Overall the hotel itself is amazing. Not only are the rooms clean, large, and comfortable, but well priced and worth the cost. The breakfast and restaurant (especially the pizza) are also delicious. The only downside is there is not really anything outside or around the hotel in terms of food or shopping. They appear to be doing some building around the hotel so this may change, but as of now you either have to eat at the hotel or take the train to another location for food or shopping. The train is very easily accessible and is the key selling point for this hotel. Not that there is a secondary exit from the train station that will dump you out much closer to the hotel (it’s on the opposite side of the station from where the elevator is located, simply walk to the other side, go down the stairs, and cross the one intersection and you’re at the hotel).

Clean and comfortable hotel a short walk from the railway station. Much cheaper than staying in the city and not long on the train to get there, definitely worth it. A little noisy with the planes and trains but not disruptive to sleep.

Clean hotel and rooms. Beds are spacious and comfortable. Conveniently located about a 10 min walk from hoofddorp train station , a 4 min ride to/from schiphol. Staff are helpful. Spacious dining area and bar. Breakfast offered, starting at 6 am. I stayed here for an overnight layover in Amsterdam. Easier to stay nearby airport, especially for early morning flights. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

Lovely stay at the hotel. Rooms comfortable, breakfast delicious & staff always happy to help. Thank you Davina for extending my check out time 😊
I would definitely come back, but only drawback is the location, but the train station is only a short walk.

We checked into the Schiphol Hilton, on April 2, 2024, before flying back to the U.S. the following morning. We have stayed at this property and the previous Schiphol Hilton many times over the past 20 years.

I am a Lifetime Diamond who spends many nights a year at Hilton properties around the world. This property provides by far the best service I have encountered post COVID.

When we arrived around 3:30 pm, Lars welcomed us as Lifetime Diamond members. This is only the second property that has recognized my lifetime status. Lars checked us in, provided us with information about the executive lounge hours and breakfast. He also suggested a time we should leave the property to check in for our flight. We were also provided an upgraded room. Within 15 minutes after getting to our room, we received a tin of chocolates, two bottles of water and a note from the GM welcoming us to the property and again recognizing my Lifetime Diamond status. A very nice touch.

My wife and I went up to the Executive Lounge in the afternoon for a cup of coffee and a light snack. Soon after Ian told us he was going out to prepare for the evening happy hour that started at 6pm. Ian told each party in the lounge where he was going and that if we needed anything to dial 9 for assistance.

Just before 6pm Ian and a colleague brought in a wide variety of food and beverages. Everything was set up and ready for us precisely at 6pm. Both Ian and his colleague were very efficient in restocking the food and picking up our dishes and glasses. Ian made a point when new food was brought out to tell each party what the food was and tell us a little about it. The food was outstanding and there was a nice variety of beer, wine, liquor and nonalcoholic beverages. Ian made a point of telling me about the different beers. This was by far my best Executive Lounge experience in years.

We had noticed even pre COVID the executive lounge experience has been downgraded all over the Hilton system. One of our favorite Hilton properties in London significantly reduced the quality of its lounge service as early as 2018. In the U.S. a large number of Hiltons I have stayed in have permanently closed their lounges after the “temporary” closures due to COVID.

It is great to see the pride Ian and his colleague display in wanting to make the Hilton Schiphol Executive Lounge a flagship for Hilton.

Lars and Ian are great ambassadors for the Hilton brand. We cannot wait for our next visit to this wonderful property.

Perfect for an overnight stop over at the Airport, 1 stop on the train, only a few stops on the bus. Short walk from station.
All the usual facilities of a Hampton Inn. Really good reception people and very kind people to help at breakfast. Recommended.
Many thanks to everyone.

It’s a 4 min train ride to the Airport and the hotel is a 5 minute walk to the train. It’s 15 minute walk to the town. We enjoyed Christiani pizza bar. Excellent pizza and salad. The rooms are small but very clean. Bed was comfy and the shower was hot with good water pressure. Breakfast had fruit, cheese, croissant, waffles, cappuccino and more. Convenient and a decent price. Highly recommend!

This is a great hotel if you want to be near the airport. The hotel is across the street from a rail stop which makes it convenient for carrying luggage. I Also would recommend taking the train from the airport if you are coming into Amsterdam to this location.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton by Hilton in Amsterdam and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel's location is simply unbeatable, as it is conveniently situated close to the train station and offers excellent connectivity to various attractions in the city.

One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast options available at the hotel. The buffet spread was extensive and catered to different dietary preferences, ensuring that there was something for everyone. It was a great way to start the day and fuel up for exploring the city.

Although the hotel does not offer room service, I found this to be a minor inconvenience as there are plenty of dining options nearby. The staff at the hotel were always helpful in recommending local restaurants and providing directions, making it easy to find a place to eat.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Amsterdam. The location, coupled with the good connectivity and tasty breakfast options, made it a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Amsterdam.

Fine hotel. Stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and it was a pleasant experience. The major draw factor of this hotel is its location close to the train station. Just cross the main road and you’re at the station. Only the Novotel can match this. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful, so is the breakfast staff, as well as the housekeeping staff. Rooms are comfortable, temperature can be controlled, beds are good. Pillows can be a bit better, and the small tv screen is aging. Bathrooms are good and spacious enough, although the half open shower is an awkward design, and water pressure from the shower head is not powerful. Breakfast buffet is very good with ample choice of hot and cold options. Outside parking space is limited and can quickly get full.

The location of this property is wonderfully close to the train station. One stop away is the airport, 4 stops from Amsterdam Central. I recommend downloading the NS app for up to date info and purchasing tickets.
Very friendly staff from the front desk to the hardworking kitchen staff and housekeeping crew.
Great value as well.

Great hotel location. It’s right across from the main train station that takes you straight to the Amsterdam Central stop as well as the Schiphol airport. Breakfast is really good! The rooms do have A.C. as well. I will say the hotel stops making dinner before 10pm, even though ordering dinner is advertised to be open until 10pm. There is currently a lot of construction happening on two sides of the building. Other than that no complaints! Don’t stress about the hotel being near an airport - it’s a VERY quiet spot. We heard no airport noises for our whole visit. Loved this little stay. I posted a picture of the view from the breakfast room window. :)

A solid Hampton Inn a short and easy walk from the train station, just a few minutes ride from the airport station. For an overnight layover, you can't go too far wrong here.

Quiet and close enough to the airport. 5 minute walk to the train station followed by a 10 minute train and you're at the airport. Bed is a little firm but comfy enough. Windows are super good at keeping the busy road noise out of the room.

A lovely hotel! As soon as you walk in, the decor and atmosphere is bright and inviting. A welcome sight after a long day of travel! The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. We were nervous as English speakers especially not knowing much of the Dutch language, but this was not a problem at all. We arrived late in the evening around 8:30pm, and the staff offered us their shuttle to their partner restaurant Traverse Grill which was delicious. The rooms are very clean and comfortable as is the bathroom. The area around the hotel feels industrial, so do not expect fantastic views. However it is a couple minute walk to the train station which makes travel accessible, safe, and easy. This was a HUGE perk of the hotel and this made it easy to head into the city each day. The hotel breakfast every morning was wonderful with lots of options including an assortment of croissants, rösti, fresh fruit, and a waffle maker, plus much more. I didn’t get a photo of the high-end coffee machine but there are two and you can make your own coffee, espresso, hot chocolate, etc. I would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

No complaints! Easy access and close to the airport. Train runs quickly into Central Amsterdam - although do check the train times beforehand as if you happen to miss it, you may have to wait half an hour for the next one.

Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. Effortless check in and check out. Staff were friendly and polite.

Five stars is not high enough rating for the superb service we received at this hotel. We desperately needed assistance to find a taxi service that would take us and our bicycle boxes to the airport. The front desk staff, Ilias and Thomas persisted and found a way to get us to the airport!- otherwise we and our bicycles would be stuck here!
Additionally all the staff was extraordinary, the breakfast excellent , the hotel location perfect and the room comfortable with excellent air conditioning.
