Amazing stay, again, this is the second time we went and they kept their service top notch consistently.

Op Oost is a perfect retreat to embrace the surrounding and beauty of Texel. The quality of the rooms and food is nothing short of it. While integrating with local suppliers, they totally complete the whole experience.

Having been here twice now, we will come back in the future. But not before we recommend ours friends to go too!

An extraordinary flavor festival in a very pleasant location. Both the food, wine pairing and alcohol free botanical drinks pairing were exquisite. The atmosphere and service as very attentive but genuine and relaxed. Comes at a price but worth every penny.

Kook Atelier managed something so rare for high end diners - something unique and different. As someone who does a lot of fine dining, I was kept on the edge of my seat. The concept is presented in a poem / story which leads you through the experience of a day on the island. The drinks pairings were outstanding - both the wine and botanicals (non alcoholic). The two stand out dishes for me were the first two - the carrot vanilla paprika and the fermented green strawberries. Although hats off to the “foie gras” (I won’t spoil it by ruining the surprise ingredient for others reading this review 🙃). This restaurant is one worth traveling for. We will be back!

I've had an amazing dining experience here. The food was really interesting, surprising and very tasty. The ingredients were from high quality, mostly from the Texel itself. We choose to get a bottle of wine instead of the wine arrangement, the wines on the menu were chosen so that all of them would fit the courses less or more. That was very pleasant. The service was great and very friendly. The atmosphere was casual for a fine dining restaurant and I felt most welcome.

Just superb in every way. The 15 course tasting menu plus wine pairing option was just extraordinary. One of the more memorable evenings of my life. We definitely don't go and do this that often but my wife's 60th and our 10th wedding anniversary was excuse enough. Sharry and Ray and Denise were brilliant and welcoming and made the entire experience fabulous. Thank you!

My wive and I had the fixed menu on Monday, which was delicious. The baked sea bass was very well prepared and the sides were wonderful. Service was extremely friendly and helpful picking out the wine. We will definitely come back next time!

Excellent food, great wine, excellent friendly service, pretty surroundings, what more could you want? We had the fruits de mer platter for lunch. It is not easy to get a variety of shell fish in the Netherlands. Here it works. The bisque was amazing.

Very fine dining, surprising and tasty combination of elements throughout the whole (5 course) menu. Great wine arrangement, except for the natural wine (not at all to my taste) but my companion liked it. Definitely a restaurant to come back to. Thanks.

A beautiful location, where you can dine in a small and intimate setting. They serve you with care and attention the most intricate works of art that are locally sourced! A real gem in Texel. Highly recommend!

Was für ein grandioser Abend im Kook Atelier. Eine Reise in 15 Genussmomenten über die winterliche Insel. Das, was die Insel gerade bietet - perfekt kombiniert. Einer dieser Momente, für die man einfach nur dankbar sein kann.

Die alkoholfreie Getränkebegleitung war einfach wunderbar. Und ein perfekter, aufmerksamer Service macht diesen besonderen Moment unvergesslich.

Na een zeer lovend artikel in de krant van een paar maanden geleden waren de verwachtingen hoog gespannen. Maar wat hebben we een fantastische avond gehad! De verwachtingen werden meer dan waar gemaakt. Wat een mooie, rustige locatie op Oost en wat een prachtige inrichting. Echt alles is op elkaar afgestemd, van de inrichting tot het gebruikte servies en de kleding van de medewerkers. Prachtig! Maar uiteindelijk gaat het om het eten, de smaken en de combinaties. Met de opgegeven allergie voor schaal- en schelpdieren is goed rekening gehouden. Het werd (zoals aangekondigd bij aanvang van het diner) een "reis over het eiland Texel". En dat was het inderdaad: van Wad naar bos naar land. Wat een rijkdom aan ingrediënten en allemaal rechtstreeks van het eiland. Bijzondere creaties, fantastische combinaties en prachtige smaken bij elkaar. Heerlijke bijpassende wijnen erbij; alles was een lust om te proeven. Sorbetijs van berenklauw en later van hooi.... wij hadden er nog nooit van gehoord. En hoe bedenk je een creme brulee van kaas? Of een dessert van karnemelk waar zelfs de wrongel van de karnemelk is gebruikt? Echt alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld van het allereerste begin tot het zoete einde. Zeer vriendelijke, informele bediening en aan het eind een hand van de kok/eigenaar. De visie van het Kookatelier is een bijzondere visie, maar kwam van begin tot eind goed uit de verf.
Een avond uit eten om nooit te vergeten en eerlijk is eerlijk; we zijn best verwend..... Zeer zeker voor herhaling vatbaar, dan in een ander seizoen, zodat we weer kunnen genieten van al het prachtigs dat Texel (en Joram en zijn medewerkers) te bieden hebben.
