Restaurant Scarlatti Leiden

We were in Leiden on the 27th April and they were celebrating King's Day (Koningsdag), which involved people wearing orange, and drinking, very similar to St. Patrick's day.

We stopped off at Scarlatti Restaurant for an early meal, recommended the burger, apple pie and a espresso martini.

Staff very friendly, great atmosphere, a good opportunity to watch the world go by.

▪ What I loved: everything was delicious - uitsmijter scarlatti was definitely my favorite with the egg, meat, cheese and bread with a light sauce! The dish was quite large too!

Be careful sitting under the trees - my friend got pooped on. 🤣😫

Only got takeaway hutspot from them. 10€. Super tasty, it was first time trying this Dutch dish (stolen from the Spanish) and I loved it.

Nice location which got sun late into the evening. I got the ribs and they were absolutely delicious, service was also great.

A very nice experience after a long day. Great service, good food and the staff took our allergies very seriously.

Great place - good menu card with Spanish oriented dishes. Service very good, not pushing like in other places in Leiden. View from the terrace on the water with boats. Recommend!

During the Dutch F1 Grand Prix weekend we enjoyed Friday evening and Saturday evening on their terrace. Last evening even heated! The people were fantastic. Good service with great sense of humor. Plenty of beer options. Snacks were also great. Terrace partly extended over the water which provides a great view and interaction. Absolutely advisable!

Lovely restaurant. We sat outside for the evening. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. Food was excellent my wife had a superb veggie curry and I had one of the best fish dishes I've ever had there. Price was very reasonable for the quality of both food and service. Highly recommended.

Wonderful. Just wonderful. Mulled wine and hot soup… perfect service… took the chill out of me.

My professor and I were looking for a light lunch and a place to catch up on science and life amidst our ongoing research conference. This place worked out really well for that (except that a bridge is being built next door, and that was kind of noisy.)

He got a glass of wine, me the coffee. To eat, we ordered the focaccia. I got the "Scarlatti" , with apple, cheese, and ham. The total bill was 18EUR. Staff were timely and kind. They'll bring an English menu if you need it. We went around 1PM.

Nice place with beautiful view on a channel. Great codfish and shrimps.

Had drinks, they were affordable and the waiters were kind!

Lovely restaurant for lunch, diner or just coffee and drinks! Nice sunny terrace almost all day long.
