Van der Valk Hotel Kasteel Terworm

If you're looking for a castle experience then look elsewhere. This is more of a nice modern hotel with na old vibe. That said, the stay was pleasant, food was good and service was nothing short od excellent. You get a lot of privacy here.
One downside I need to mention is that there's a couple of places with quite steep stairs, so it might not be the best fit for you if you're not up for it.

I really enjoyed my stay here. They thoughtfully provided two chairs, a small table and an LED lamp for us to use on the patio. Every night of my stay I spent an hour or two there enjoying the evening. It was a very peaceful on a romantic stay. The only downside is that it's a bit removed from anything else, but that's how it's so peaceful.

I had a lovely stay. Probably one of the best sleeps I had in a bed which was not my own. The restaurant was the real surprise though. I had an excellent 3 course meal with some very good accompanying wines. If you like cheese I suggest you swap your sweet desert for cheese. With a choice of several fine cheeses (and a passionate story from the lady severing) this is something I've rarely seen in the Netherlands.

I stayed in the castle itself, expect decadence around every corner. Not your regular shiny modern van der Valk. Up-to-date facilities though.

Can’t talk about the rooms as I went with friends to the restaurant/bar. Great late night snacks and drinks. Mocktails available and atmosphere on the patio. My friend who has stayed at the hotel says the rooms are amazing.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful surroundings. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful and know how a guest should be treated. The food is absolutely amazing, like a taste explosion oneness tongue. It's beautifully clean, I'm guessing it's because of such attentive staff. This is my 5th visit in 4 years and I hope many more visits to come. Thank you to all the staff at Kasteel Ter Worm for making our stay simply perfect.

I have been here now for the second time first time it was the prachthofkamer and the second time we have had the kasteelkamer, these experiences i have had so far are beyond anything i can express its so incredibly wonderful, magical. The service is amazing and the food here is delicious both dinner and breakfast. There is alot of sincere nature and a very interesting past connected to this place. I'd recommend it for everyone.

Been here twice now both in prachthof en kasteel room and it really is 5 stars all around. Is it expensive? Definetly but you do get your moneys worth. The location is so gorgeous that you can spend several days exploring the nature and area and still barely have left the castle grounds. The garden is an amazing place to sit relax, stargaze and chat, the breakfast and dinner are truly delicious and the rooms are beuatifull with a nice few, very clean and all necicties available. I know that I certainly will be back here.

We didn’t stay at the hotel this time, but we went to the garden to take a look around and it is definitely worth the visit. Big, sumptuous space and impressive architecture. It must be really beautiful during spring time with all the trees and flowers 🌳.

A beautiful discrete historic hotel. Ideal for bon vivants and introverts looking for getaway. A romantic setting paired with an extraordinary culinary experience.

It's a real castle.

We stayed in a tower accommodation, which consists of a living room, bed room, bath room and toilet/shower room. Very comfortable, except for a large doorstep to the room, good accessible for wheels.
We stayed with a toddler so we asked for a child bed, and they also gave us a cleaning pillow, diaper bin, special children's amenities, etc. Very thoughtful. Nice relaxing terrace, beautiful garden and thematic restaurant.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to personnel shortage, so we could not have dinner there. All rooms in the castle are the same price, so it's worth to book early and find the nicest room.

Breakfast was ok, but not really worth the price.

Lovely place. Service here is still professional and obviously actively trained. Similar to some of the best restaurants I've ever been. Lovely kind of hidden location. Slept excellently. Breakfast also a dream. We will go back I'm sure.

Amazing place, definately have to experience this. They have maintained the interior very well, you really feel that you stay in a castle but with modern comforts. Surrounding area is very nice for rla bicycle ride. Do not miss eating the food here, it is a must!

Fantastic hotel in a terrific ambiance. It starts by walking through the big castle gates to the reception. There you are welcomed very friendly and guided to the room. I stayed here multiple times in both the castle as the side building rooms. Both are really great but the castle rooms have a little extra edge. Especially the room 'Lievelings'.

Furthermore the bar and food are also really good. The breakfast is also superb with even two champagnes to choose from. Highly recommended hotel in the south.

Kasteel TerWorm is one of the few reasons I enjoy a visit to Heerlen. Rooms are tidy and clean. Beds are top quality. Restaurant is super. Only downside is the limited menu is changed only once a month. Breakfast is a feast. The place has a drawbridge and a small canal. Staff very friendly.

If you are looking for an amazing fine dining experience Kasteel TerWorm is the right place for you. You are treated like royalty the moment you enter the door. The downstairs cocktail bar provides the perfect mood for the fabolus food which follows in the antique diningroom in the main room. The whole experience is a bit pricey but well worth it.

Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, certainly my favourite Van der Valk! I used to travel to BeNeLux almost every week and would stay here as often as possible; I’d stay here even when working around Brussels, a two hour round trip! Top quality rooms at very reasonable prices, beautiful surroundings, peaceful and the food is a gastronomic delight. A huge wow factor as you walk into the courtyard and lovely gardens, what more could you ask for?

Great location. Expensive, but the quality of the food is very good and the personnel is very polite and welcoming.

Too bad that Google Maps cannot provide a route for cars.

Pleasently surprised by this wonderful castle while taking a stroll. Even more surprised when I found out it is a vandervalk restaurant. Ordered coffee and got pampered with all kinds of treats. Staff did seem a little stressed tho.
