Khunchai Thais Restaurant

Restaurant Khunchai is a great small Thai restaurant. From the outside it is easy to walk by it. However once inside it has a great atmosphere. It's small but tastefully decorated with plants and hints of Thai culture. They have an open kitchen where you can see the cooks do their thing. The food itself was wonderfull, we had the Tomkha kai soup, which was delicious and for the main course my wife had Moe Kratiem Prikthai (Pork tenderloin with garlic, white pepper, spring onions, onions and different Thai sauces) which was very rich in taste. I myself went for Keng Massaman (Beef with cashew nuts, potato, red onions, coconut milk and Thai brown curry). It was very good, creamy and rich in taste. I thoroughly enjoyed it. All in all I can highly recommend Khunchai. But don't forget to make a reservation, it is small and popular.

Khunchai is one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to! Everything we ordered was delicious and prepared fresh in the open kitchen. Absolutely recommend this hidden gem!

This is the best Thai restaurant in Alkmaar. Their Thai green curry is simply one of the best I have ever tasted! Food is cooked fresh and flavour is amazing. Prices are reasonable for what you get. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Staff speaks english and menu is also in english. great tasty food and big portions. Caution, "medium spicy" is already very spicy.

De bediening loopt niet altijd vlekkeloos en het duurt soms wat lang.... Maar het loont zeer de moeite, want het eten is fantastisch 🤤. We hebben heel uitgebreid gegeten en elk gerecht was minimaal heel goed
