What a pleasant surprise it was!
Good food, good wine and very attentive service!
We all really enjoyed it!
Once back in Alkmaar, for sure we will take this place into consideration!
TIP: If your guests like a wine and would like to take it home, you should offer it at a cheaper price compared to drinking in the restaurant!

Great food for fine dining and good selection of complementary wines. Great staff.

Went there two evenings in a row.
Small restaurant with a limited menu / small number of dishes - which in my view is a positive.
The first night I had the fish of the day (Halibut), and the second night Bouillabaisse - both were excellent.
Interesting wines.

We loved this restaurant! Really good and profesional service. All the plates had something special. We had bitterballen with risotto filling and the mussels for dinner and we both liked it. The cheesecake for desert was amazing. We would both repeat this restaurant.

Service was very fast with delicious food. I tried the fresh fish with french fries which was delicious.
The place is very close to the center and the waiters were friendly.

It is generally crowded. Maybe better to reserve before coming.
I highly recommend this place to have dinner.

Food was very good and the bistro employees were super nice. We even got to know the details of the dish and how it is prepared before the dish was served.
Guys there speak both Dutch and English.

Amazing food, beautiful building and the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . The chefs know their trade. Not only are they highly disable, they are more than happy to explain what they made and how the made it. I didn't know about this place but it swiftly made it to my top 2 of places to go not only in the North Holland area but in The Netherlands in General! This place should get a Michelen star!

I've just had lunch here and it was absolutely amazing. I had the beef stew sandwhich which had the most wonderful flavour and presentation. It was very reasonably priced too, i'd love to have a crack at the dinner menu!

Great food cooked according to mostly local recipes. The restaurant is very nice and the atmosphere inside is very cozy.

The food is absolutely brilliant and it's on the edge of the centre of Alkmaar so it's easily accessed. The staff is also very friendly and sometimes tells jokes.

On a short visit to Holland and tried the Bistro De 13 as reccomend.
