Eterij 'De Binnenkomer'

We found this local hidden gem while traveling and even though they were packed, they were welcoming and sat us at the bar. We enjoyed several drinks and delicious dinner and then wrapped up a fab locally inspired evening with some shots and good cheer. You will have to find this hidden gem as it's worth it to feel the local vibe and meet some fab folks. Be sure to find the resident cat, who sleeps quietly even though it is wildly busy. Such a cozy and warm place. Staff is so kind. Hamburger, soup and desert were delicious. Price & perfomance was good. Also wc was clean. I don't give 5 ⭐ to a place easily but this pretty one deserves it.

A small cozy place, warm and natural ambience. Very welcoming and helpful staff! You get water before you order, and also you wont wait too long for the meal. You can make a vegan/vegetarian options if possible for some meals. Espresso is good, so is lemonade with ginger. I liked the choice of music most, but am not sure if it's the same all the time ('90s rap was playing most of the time). Oh and, prices here are lower than the average in Alkmaar!

Very kind staff. Good food and the most best IPA I ever had, De Moersleutel. I loved every moment in this restaurant. I do recommend.

I could use a lot of words to tell other people reading this review how good this place is, but I won't.

I encourage people to discover the amazing qualities of this place all by themselves and come to the same conclusion.

5* because more wasn't possible

Came with 4 people total, food was ready in 10-15 mins and the portions were massive. Prices were cheap as well, would come again :)

We had a very nice lunch! Food and drinks were nice and staff were very attentive and friendly. Oh and there is a cute cat as well. 😸

A wonderful place, really.
It starts by the service: the two ladies that served us were really in good mood and very welcoming and helpful.
The food was great and looked great, had a good size and was very tasty. Perfectly done.
The place is very beautiful: very gezellig outside with the seats and tables and very beautiful inside.
The prices are fair. The only critic is that the glass of beer we got "Alkmaar Blond" (4.90 euro) was half full. It was a really really small glass and then there was inside not more than 0.15l, probably closer to 0.1l.

We can really see myself traveling to Alkmaar especially to eat there.
PS: They have good vegetarian options. Not only the 'boring' stuff like salad and burger.

We ate a burguer and a steak and both were amazing. Really good ingredients matched with culinary expertise. The lemonade isn't your usual lemonade so before you order it make sure you like the fizz & ginger beer type of thing! At the end we also had a very tasty brownie 👌

We went there for food and drinks and were lucky to snap up a table right away. The staff are super friendly and helpful with their recommendations. The atmosphere is super sociable, service speedy and the food is just divine. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and we were pleasantly surprised at this little hole in the wall. Love it!

Very cute place to grab a drink or a bite to eat. Really friendly and helpful staff. Stopped in for a coffee in the beginning of the afternoon and came back for a beer before we left. Also the cat is super sweet, but only pet it's head 😻

Tastiest food in Alkmaar. Need to be back to try the whole menu!

As an appetizer, my husband and I shared some truffle croquettes and fresh orange juice. The truffle croquettes were simply DIVINE -- and this is coming from someone who normally doesn't even like croquettes.

For lunch, I had the club sandwich and a hot chocolate, and my husband had an "uitsmijter". The club sandwich was absolutely delicious, and extremely filling, although a bit on the spicy side. I'll be going back at some point to try the cheese plate.

Such a nice place, so cosy and super friendly staff! The halloumi burger was a bit too “pickled” but I highly recommend for a simple lunch and good coffee!

Very cozy restaurant located in Alkmaar city. Very friendly service and amazing food for little money. :) take a seat and enjoy.

We were strolling through Alkmaar and stumbled across this place. I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very hipster-like with very quaint decorations all over. The food was amazing- I had the one minute steak tortilla and my husband had the BigBanger burger. For such a small price, I have to admit I wasn't expecting much but the explosion of flavours lingered on in my mouth even after we left. The homemade iced tea was also really good- they used real black tea without much sugar and paper straws! (plus point in my book). All in all, we paid 21€ for a really delicious meal. They also all spoke in English and were absolutely lovely. Would definitely come back here!

We had to wait a little bit but the food was worth it. The Beef was amazing and we enjoyed our Diner there. We liked it a lot! Thank you for the nice quality Food!

Extremely welcoming and delightful staff in addition to delicious homemade food with comfortable seating. Highly recommend it, don’t even think about going in just go.

Original and very tasty food! But the experience is mainly great because of the friendly and attentive staff who really makes your dinner.
