El Gaucho

The meat in this restaurant is amazing. You should really go for the entrecote or and other steak/fillet. The ribs are not that great I would skip those. The chimichurri is perfect. It really enhances the steak. The empanadas were a great starter and the fries and corn were a perfect side.

Was there for the mixed grills, ordered the chicken breast to share with my friend and it turned out to be amazing! Seasoned well and tender with reasonable price. Love the dessert also, and the portion of all dishes would be totally enough for one adult male, definitely will visit again.

Design, and atmosphere was nice..

I loved it! Empanadas very tasted! Lamp as main dish is super delicious, flavored and well done with a bbq sauce! Seasoned rice also delicious and for dessert a chocolate mouse ❤ I really enjoyed the food and the place is enjoyable too!

Lovely experience at El Gaucho! I booked a table online and indicated that we would come celebrate my friend’s birthday.
The waiting staff was friendly and quick-responding. Loved the vibe in the restaurant, cozy and not too noisy. The meat was great! Would loved a bit of more seasoning though.
I did not bring up the birthday thing at all after arriving at the restaurant. I thought maybe they would forget. We ordered dessert and later a waitress come with our dessert and a little firework! My friend was totally taken by surprise, which was awesome! Definitely a highlight of the dinner!

Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable service. Delicious steak - we had the Bife de Chorizo and the Lady Steak de Lomo.The sides we chose were mushrooms and sweet potato. All great!

The side salad wasn't that great but we liked the bread starter, empanada and rice. Friendly staff and the overall experience was good.

Probably the best steakhouse in Leiden, many various other offerings of food but only tried their Filetto De Lomo which I keep coming back for! Friendly and fast serving.

Consistency on quality, well attention to details and super steak! All the meals are great and oven potatoes are super great! Besides, the menu is perfectly in Dutch and English!

Nice place with helpful staff and great atmosphere. Excellent grilled steaks, kids menu and good options of alcohol drinks. Especially I ought to mention Tomahawk steak which is delicious and big enough to share it among 3 persons(originally it meant to be served for 2 persons).

Unexpectedly good for an argentine place in the Netherlands. Definitely recommended! We had empanadas, pechuga de pollo, pincho de lomo, a bottle of wine and a profiteroles for 93 €. All well cooked, all good!

Great food, atmosphere and service. They have a good selection of different cuts so there is something for everyone! Mid range in price and definitely worth it. If you still have room then I also recommend the desserts which are delicious.

Lovely staff. Accommodated us without reservation, but had to wait a bit. Redid steaks happily as we wanted well done.
