Chose this restaurant for the last night’s dinner in the Netherlands and it definitely made the night very special!

Was offered a blanket upon being seated without asking, it was rather cold out and it didn’t even cross my mind to ask for it but it was greatly appreciated.

After a warm welcome and a brief introduction of the host and the coworkers, we got a great help and suggestions regarding the dishes. We ordered a seasonal zucchini soup, chicken and pasta followed by the desserts, cheesecake and chef’s choice which was a gingerbread-ice cream. Main dishes were served with 4 small dishes of French fries, potato wedges, fried vegetables and salad. I thought at first that we were supposed to choose one of them as a side dish but no, you get all of them, and all of them were not your average whatever side dish, but actually tasty, all of them.

We were very pleased with the food presentations and the taste, as well as pricing. What stood out though was the extraordinary, professional service offered by the host. It was like a breeze of fresh air and made a deep, positive impression on us of the visit.
If you are looking to have personal, pleasant evening filled with positive energy, I’d suggest you try this place!

We recently went out to Vief for a business dinner. As the person who organised it, I was a bit nervous due to the fact we have some people with strict dietary restrictions. From the getgo, however, the people at Vief were very understanding and cooperative. Once we got there, our waiters did their absolute best to ensure the people with dietary restrictions had a pleasant experience. This service ranged from answering any and all questions, to bringing out ingredients to show us. I have never experienced such care and attention in a restaurant. And, despite of the gluten and dairy free restrictions, the food tasted amazing.

We enjoyed the three course dinner. The mackerel tartare was exceptional. The service was excellent as well.

One of the best spots to enjoy the beauty of Nijmegen. We took the table outside so that we can have both great foods and sunset view of The Waal. The foods and drinks were very good and interesting. The mushroom risotto was really impressive which their staff introduced to us that they have their own mixed mushrooms recipe, we ordered this risotto again since it's so delicious. They also have very nice cocktails, definitely a good choice for drinking time with your friends. Also the service of them was really warm and friendly also professional. Highly recommended to all of you!

From the moment we stepped into Vief's, nestled by the scenic Waal river in the charming city of Nijmegen, I knew I was in for a treat. The hospitality here is not just warm; it's like coming home. Amazing place, super cozy, very friendly staff and the food was delicious! We didn’t have to wait long! We literally cleaned our plates! For me as a foreigner living in the Netherlands was supper cute that they asked me what language I prefer! (In a lot of restaurants when they know my bf is Dutch they will just speak to him in Dutch and he must translate) Highly recommended and we hope to come back!

Fantastic experience in this restaurant in front of the river. I tried chicken, the "ossenhaas" and the sweet fries. They were all very tasty and well presented. The waiter was very kind helping us to translate the menu. Best dinner in my nederlands' holiday.

We ate the shrimp, linguine and risotto. Everything was delicious. The (co)owner is very kind and helpful, knowledgable about food. Would recommend the place.

I can't say a single bad word about the service. In particular about light bearded man. The service is almost perfect, the food (we had a chance to try tapas only) is great, the choice of alcohols is wide. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Great atmosphere and fun staff. We were welcomed enthusiastically and this enthusiasm stayed the entire evening. The food is tasty. Will definitely return.

Superb service and great food and drink. The manager, Hugh, was personable, attentive, and gave our friend from Kentucky some Bourbon! Would recommend to anyone looking to see the best that Nijmegen has to offer.
