Do the entirety of Holland and yourself a favour and visit this town! Wow wow wow. The town is easily walkable, and the hiking trails around the most are beautiful. A hidden jem with almost no tourists.

If you know the history of the place, then you’d definitely visit this place! It’s quite fun if you’d go biking as other museums are just nearby!

Cool piece of European architectural heritage that remains in it's original context. In most European cities if the gates remain they are isolated as landmarks with nothing left if the surrounding defenses. Here you can see how the lavish 17-18th century gates were originally conceived.

As a ducthman, I've never been here before. Nice historic place for sightseeing. Really incredible to see the defenseline of Holland. If you like this also go and watch for "De stelling van Amsterdam" it's a series of defensive concrete forts build around Amsterdam. With great historic value!

A well maintained fort, with large green. With neighboring Vesting Museum, tourists can enjoy the fortified old town, cafe and other shops of Naarden Vesting.

A nice property in a very nice city, one of the most recognizable symbols of North Holland: Naarden. The object in its current state was created in the second half of the 19th century by replacing the previous city gate from 1680.

Another example of Nederland and its historically original ability to apply simple architecture and use of water to creatively solve very practical and for people's living important needs.

The city gate was built in 1877, replacing its 17th century predecessor. On the city side of the gate, you see the faces of King Willem III and his wife Sophia.
