Great atmosphere and super charming location in Naarden. Soups were amazing and lunch menu was very tasty.

The owner was really friendly and took the time to chat us and tell us all about the restaurant, the food and even where he sources his ingredients from. Friendly, warm atmosphere and last but not least, a fantastic menu of delicious traditional Dutch food and modern favourites. I can’t wait to go again!

Excellent little cafe/tavern with a very interesting menu and a helpful staff. Vegetarian and gluten free are available from the dinnner menu provided that the staff is willing -- be nice. I found the veggieburger very tasty.

Very nice place, good ambiance, nice interior, friendly personnel. The food is good and the prices are ok, nothing outrageous. I really do not understand why they have a 4.0 star rating, while a crappy place in Almere-Haven with a shouting chef (Steak @ The Lake) gets a 4.4 star rating. We ate at Het Hert a few times, always a good experience.

Whenever you visit Amsterdam take the opportunity to visit Naarden Vesting. This fortress is unique which you will see already if you look up the place on google maps. For a lunch or dinner going to Eetcafe het hert to taste the Dutch old style brown cafe ambiance. The food and beers are excellent

Cosy brasserie in Naarden Vesting, went for lunch. The food is simple but good, try the asparagus à la Flamande when they're in season and you won't be disappointed. The decor gives the place a cosy hunting lodge appearance.
