VanLier Concept Store Den Haag

Vandaag ben ik geholpen bij een paar schoenen. Goed uitleg en hulp gehad van meneer. Ik ben tevreden over alles aan deze winkel en kom hier zeker terug.

Kleine winkel met hoogwaardige kwaliteit schoenen en riemen. De laatste weken is er altijd maar 1 medewerker in de winkel aanwezig. Als het rustig is doet deze medewerker er alles aan om je maximale service te verlenen. Op het moment dat het drukker is, kan dit helaas niet en dat is in mijn ogen dan ook acceptabel en begrijpelijk. Helaas vinden andere mensen dit lastig te begrijpen.

I have been to this shop twice now. Both times I have been attended by an older gentleman. The first time I dealt with him, I asked if he spoke English. He said I should try in Dutch. No problem with that, but then he proceeded to interrupt my attempts to speak dutch with dutch quite clearly above my level and derisive and rude comments about my attempts. He also made me feel like a pain for wanting to try on more than two pairs of shoes and seemed quite judgemental about my choices. In the end, I did buy a pair of shoes but was left with a very bad impression of the shop.

3 months after buying the shoes, the protective cover on their sole had already started pulling away. Given that the shoes were not cheap and my last pair of shoes lasted 6 years without issue, I thought it not unreasonable to take these back and see what the shop could do (replace/repair). The same gentleman implied that it was entirely my fault that the shoes were damaged, that I wasn't caring for them properly and that I needed to take them to a shoe repair shop. Instead of argue, I gave up but I will not be going back again.

I can tell from other reviews that I am not alone in feeling dissatisfied with this gentleman's conduct. It reflects very poorly on Van Lier.

bought one pair of shoes and they are the most uncomfortable shoes ever, they look very nice but over all quality is bad (at least for me)

Very rude and offending old man running this shop. Is upset to even show a few shoes. That’s why stores like de Bijenkorf are and will stay profitable. They treat customers with care, not their products in the store. Van Lier should be ashamed of their brand sitting in people like him.
